The enemy attacks
Huh ! Huh Huh Huh Huh men breath heavily on the front as they sit in trenches almost entirely in the dark with small little lights here and there . Among them Dominik and Talia sit in the trenches near each other waiting for enemy attack to arrive .
Dominik breaths calmly as he has no fear and all he has is hope . Talia is the same stills he seems hesitant but all of the hesitancy is interrupted when . The sound of a bow and arrow being fired pierces the cold night air .
It lands right in front of Dominik and Talias section of the trench Dominik quickly grabs it before getting down . He then starts speaking loud enough for the troops to hear as he sees no reason for being quiet as the elves already know where they are .
The letter says " Our dearest humans we do not wish to bring bloodshed and death to your nation so you may surrender now and serve us your rightful masters or be killed and thrown into a ditch with all who oppose us ".

Also you either yell out you surrender in 1 minute or you die . Men Dominik yells fire the mortars at the elves they are at these coordinates he says as his officers yell it out instead . Fire fire fire he yells out destroy the Royal dogs .
Bright lights suddenly shine from the darkness as hundreds of elves appear and suddenly charge with blades . They use magical shields to try and block bullets when they realize there projectiles . But the bullets are enhanced and these ones are specifically enhanced as they pack more of an explosive punch yes .
The gunpowder in the bullets has been upgraded and thanks to magic the gunpowder can be contained without effort .
The bullets pierce through the elves shields but the elves throw weapons at the soldiers attempting to kill them from long range. But soldiers duck down into the trenches and continue firing when finally a bright big boom takes place on one section of the trench . Killing 100 soldiers in the process when this happens the soldiers seem to start increasing there performance in a blind rage .
As Dominik yells out bring out the maxim machine guns maxims appear on towers as they start rapidly firing into the enemy . Several powerful spells are sent at them but every time there able to resist through the help of several mages enhanced protection and Talia . Because of Talia having to constantly do this she's feeling the strain which is why Dominik finally yells for a medic to bring her to the back lines when she collapses .
She is quickly and effortlessly moved through the trenches as other wounded soldiers who have been wounded by arrows or caught up in magical attacks are rushed with her to the back lines . There also the bodies of the dead even the dead who have been burned beyond recognition .
Dominik's fighting force of 40,000 is a mix between summonses soldiers and ones who have been recruited from the citizens and the gulags . They are up against at least 70,000 or 60,000 elven troops the elves are powerful and way beyond humans basic power . But they forgot one key idea that the nazis forgot in World War Two don't fuck with Russia in the winter .
