The War At Large

There have been several skirmishes over the past few weeks since the war started. This would be a long and bloody war. We were all just testing the waters and throwing fodder at each other to see what each of our defenses were like. The only good news I had at the moment was that Mishala, the fallen chosen by a Winged Rabbit that was still here, was growing at a rapid pace. She was already a four winged fallen, and was getting close to gaining her next pair of wings. 

From what I researched, she fell due to being enraged over a few angels being murdered in front of her. She then proceeded to kill off the devils and yokai that did it. Thankfully she didn't harbor an extreme hatred towards the races at large. Not that the rabbit would have chosen her if she did. Due to these factors, I kept her regularly training, and hidden from most of the fallen at large since I didn't want information about her 'special care' to get out. 

My interactions with the rabbit have been minimal at best. The thing just checks in on what I am doing whenever I have meetings on the movement of the devils or the church. Outside of that, it would stick to Mishala's side like glue. It still hasn't revealed itself to her as of yet, but it was probably waiting for her to get stronger. I had no idea what would come from it, since the rabbits haven't been attached to someone this long before according to my records. I needed more research. 

Kinami

Returning home has been a regal experience for me. I was betrayed in the past, and ultimately killed by the combined effort of a few gods and demigods. That however, caused Mother to be enraged. From the information implemented into me. She scavenged every afterlife for my soul, and decimated every god and demigod involved in the incident. Based on some information that Sebas has gathered more recently, those afterlives are still recovering.

It was due to this that most factions, and even solo beings of power, feared Mother's wrath. Especially so if she took on a male form. For that form represents their fury, their pure and unadulterated rage at what may be happening to them or those around them. I ended up crying when I was brought back to life by Mother and given a chance to stick it to the arrogant shinto gods. 

All they did was sit on their high horses and had the Yokai, and the Five Principal Clans perpetually fight to keep their power in check. It was disgusting that they feared them to the point of keeping their power restrained. If they didn't try to have a 'hands-off' approach, and actually cared about those under them, they wouldn't have to worry about a possible revolution. 

That didn't matter though, since it was my time to shine and bring the Yokai up to standard to handle all threats, and stop taking the crap that the shinto has been feeding them.

It's been about two months since Levi was grounded. She was still under the care of Miss Jane right now, but was finally allowed to explore again after reaching Miss Jane and Miss Jess's standards. I had to do my absolute best to never get on their bad side. They could be scarier than Mother sometimes in different aspects.

While Mom was scary to our enemies, she loved us dearly and would rarely punish us. Miss Jess and Jane took on this role however, to reel any of us in if we were to ever step out of line. I still get nightmares occasionally of Miss Jane holding a metal ruler when I fell asleep during a lesson. 

It was time for me to make my first move towards the west yokai faction. What better way to do that, then to expose the fact that the man that was trying to court Yasaka, was a yokai spy of the principal clans, was ordered to seduce her, and secure a child from her at all cost. Some people in the clans were trying to do some dangerous experiments with Yokai children. Time to pick those disgusting hypocrites apart a little. 

Yasaka

For the first time in I don't know how long, I thought that I had found a consort who didn't want to take advantage of me. One who didn't seek me for the current position I held, or for the financial prowess I held, but for me, and my personality. The man before me may even have had the chance to father my future children. Some things quickly change for the worse however. 

I was calmly sitting in my personal chambers reading up on a report of what was happening with the biblical factions, when I felt a magic pulse nearby. The moment I looked over at the person that appeared to my left, I felt my brain run on overdrive, and my body paused. 

How? How was she alive? She should be dead. Our records showed that her Mother couldn't find her soul no matter how hard she searched! 

"I see that you recognize me based on the mini panic attack you are currently having. As funny as I find that to be, do me a favor and try not to make too much noise. While I did put up a barrier, it would be privy for us to discuss things in a quiet and timely manner." I struggled to move my mouth, let alone speak when she made that statement. 

"If I may ask, what could the nine tailed fox of chaos want with little ol me? Based on your mother's recluse nature, I didn't think that she would make moves over here, ever for that matter. Especially considering her dislike for the Shinto gods." I was afraid of what her answer might be. Her smirking and sitting right next to me on my bed didn't help. Then her inching closer to me, with her face almost touching mine made me nervous beyond repair. That smirk not leaving her face for a second. 

Not a second later, she pulled out a file from her breasts, and passed it to me. She wasn't in my face anymore, but she stood right beside me, staring at me, while motioning for me to read it. 

Kinami

Seeing Yasaka being a nervous wreck near me, and squirm, made me want to eat her up. Sadly, it was business before pleasure. So when I passed her the file on her current consort/romantic interest, and motioned for her to read it, she nervously opened it. The speed at which her eyes widened as she was reading what was written there, could have broken the sound barrier if it weren't for the barriers I erected around the room earlier. 

Her breath started to hitch, and I could feel her anger with my senjutsu. It was palatable, but well deserved. The clans, more specifically the remnants of a much more radical, and borderline terrorist group from the clan, have been doing some very messed up things to younger yokai for experiments. The kicker here? The shinto gods and her current consort were willfully ignorant or endorsing the situation. They were fully aware of course, but decided not to do anything. 

The shinto because they were lazy, and her ex consort, because he took a very active part in kidnapping yokai. Her power started to burst out. While it is not as strong as it would be in the future when she linked up to the leylines, she was still stronger than most high-class beings. It was nothing to me of course. I pulled her into a hug and that seemed to calm her down a bit. 

"How did you find this out? To think that I believed the false words of that man." Yasaka was tearing up at this point, so I brought her even closer. 

"You would be surprised what a little snooping around from my subordinates would find. They thought they were being sneaky about it, but their lack of any powerful security was their downfall in giving me the information I needed." She stared up at me with tear filled eyes. Oh how I so dearly wanted to take advantage of this moment and ravish that pure face. I was very close to doing so, but I settled for giving her a small peck on the lips.

While her brain froze and she processed what I did, I stood up from the bed, 

"I would like to cordially offer my helping hand to fix your current issues. I would also like to state that I have a vested interest in you Yasaka, if my earlier action was enough of a tell. I will give you whatever time you need to recover emotionally from this situation, but I believe in laying out my interest right away, rather than waiting. I also have several plans to improve the situation of the Yokai, and go fully independent from the Shinto." Her face went from a serious look, to a deep blush, then to one of deep surprise, when her eyes threatened to bulge out of her skull.

"Why do you trust me so much? What if I went to the Shinto? What about me do you have such interest in that you would be so upfront with me about everything? You could have dismantled everything yourself without my involvement at all, told me afterward, and I would have to accept it as is." This woman was making it more and more difficult to not jump her right then and there. 

"Oh dear Yasaka, I already know enough about you to know that you take betrayal extremely seriously. Even then, do you think my own mother would be ok with me trying to court someone without knowing everything they could about them?" She seemed to accept that answer, even as she shifted her body a bit and proceeded to blush more. 

"If that's the case, then I officially accept the help you have offered me. I would like your assistance with helping me weed out any of my followers who may not be loyal to me though. If this went over my head, who knows who else is actually genuine when it comes to following me in governing the west yokai faction. When it comes to you courting me, consider it doable. The power you hold over the situation may perhaps make me feel a certain way about it." She lowered her kimono a bit and took on a bit of a more flirtatious nature. The dam was broken at that moment, and I did not hold myself back anymore.

Of course I made sure to message my subordinates to start taking apart their whole operation and capture the yokai that was trying to take advantage of Yasaka.

At first, I didn't believe the whole 'Power is attractive' thing that this verse had going on when I read the novel. It was then that I was proven wrong not once, but twice! The first time with Retzio, because there is no other way that Loki would have gotten that attached that quickly. The second and most recent time is what happened yesterday. Kinami went from discussing plans to dismantle the current structure between the yokai, the shinto, and the five principal clans.

Next, Kinami is railing the nine tailed fox into the next century. Ah, flesh magic is a wonderful thing. Good for her regardless. I did request that she integrate with the West Yokai Faction, I didn't state how. I wonder if my other three children also have plans when it comes to a romantic interest, or multiple, I won't judge, 

Regardless though, now that the plans have been set in motion for the Yokai, Sebastian was implementing a newer plan of mine. I planned to steal a few crystals from Agreas island in order to study them. I didn't need the evil pieces, that didn't mean I couldn't say, offer it's system to the other biblical factions so they could grow their numbers after The Great War. It would most likely take me years to even break down the crystals, let alone figure out how they work. 

Let it be known that Ajuka was a genius, and his unique formula ability might as well be hacking. I will 100% be making a golem with said ability the very moment I, or Sebastian see's him. Although considering how powerful said ability is, there is no way it wouldn't restrict the amount of golems I could make with it, let alone the materials required. I'm getting too far side-tracked though.
