The last Q'yil

Unknown to Ben a total of nine days has gone by until his Light Halo was completed, to him however, it felt like he had been on the task for months. Opening his eyes a profound light escaped brightening the whole chamber. Ben looked around him and saw pieces of dried flesh that had fallen off his body.

Although surprised he could not stop now, he had to continue hitting the iron while it's still hot.

Not wasting any more time he picked up the Earth Pistil to begin comprehending the mystery of Earth. The activities that went on in his chamber was in a much larger scale than when he was forming his Light Halo. From dust to sand, from sand to mud, from mud to rocks. They all rotated round Ben attaching themselves unto him

Once any Earth particles in form of small golden-brown rocks falls on his body it magically dissolves into his body, hardening his skin, flesh, bone and as deep as his inner orgasm. However, outside his chamber things were becoming rowdy.

Ben's inner chamber began to have its walls petrified slowly. The runes meant to hold in whatever energy that might leak out and overflow started fighting back to hold in the energy, but as the days went by Ben's entire wall petrified to the extend of escaping the confinement of his chamber's rune. Just like inside the outside couldn't stop the petrification and was petrified.

This brought the attention of those Spellcasters from before and even more. The story of two people having strong affinity for elements piqued their interest. The information of those who were inside the chambers could easily be accessed, and when they saw the info about the two geniuses their months hung low in shock and confusion. This left these old geezers wondering.

"Hmm, very strong understanding of the Earth element, he's also supported by an Earth-type treasure." a brown skin old man with bald head but gray beard said fumbling with his beard.

"Do you think he is from a hidden ancient clan, of some sort." the female Spellcaster, Domino, asked the elderly man.

"The kingdom of Moonlight... I have been there once, the place knows no wizardry, no resources, the place is a backwater area. We won't know for the time being, we can only wait for the end result." on bald head elderly man said.

Another eleven days went by in a flash. Earth elemental energy particles were pouring into Ben's Earth Halo ceaselessly. If Sphere Tower wasn't reinforced with thousands upon thousands of different Elemental Crystals to aid gathering of the Elemental particles easier. The way Elemental particles rushed into Ben's chamber would have dried the area of certain elements for the rest of the students.

Having Earth integrated into his body, he felt neither heavy nor rigid but knew that his ordinary defense has increased drastically. The forming of two powerful Elemental Halos made his Universal Plane a bit shaky, if he should continue with this it would be regrettable. He took two whole days to stabilize his Universal Plane back to normal.

Over to the mural vase with the Air Vein, he opened it and delved into his Universal Plane once more. With strong wind bellowing Ben felt as light as a feather in the sky. Throughout the twelve days Ben took to form his Wind-type Elemental Halo he could tell that his agility and dexterity increased exponentially.

Before Ben was the purple Tear of Thunder floating between him and the black rock. Ben could be seen gritting his teeth as painful streaks of lightning struck into his body. The black rock didn't stay idle, glowing every brightly, it began absorbing the energy overflow. Silence and tranquility was all that was left in the chamber.

Outside the chamber however, was an entirely different occurrence, thick lightning flash within a huge thundercloud that loomed over the tower. How it appeared, even those outside the tower had no idea. The lightning element in the air became increasingly abundant beyond measures, this gave all those who were presently forming their Lightning-type Elemental Spheres to have more than a thirty percent chance of succeeding.

Inside the Sphere Tower filled with chambers, mentors and elders. They could feel static in the air. Startled an elder shouted. "Master Etch, lay down a formation that will stop the overwhelming static from affecting other chambers. Quick!"

It wasn't that the static affected any of the elders or mentors but seeing that it was able to bypass both inner and outer low level runes of the chamber at the same time making the outer runes of other chambers around Ben's chamber unstable. If this were to continue all those within those chambers might be in grave danger in one way or the other. As elders they must prevent this by all means necessary. Without delay master Etch stepped forward and laid a concealment formation over Ben's chamber.

Mentor Belti who was currently in meditation was jerked awake by a strong presence of powerful Lightning aura. It was different from either his or any other lightning Spellcaster he knew in all of The Phantom.

Turning east, through his Mindpower and the power of Lightning he could see a thick thunder cloud above the Sphere Tower. A smile appeared on his face and one word left his mouth.

"Finally..."

In a far away land of a bustling city, inside a large, popular and well known smithy, behind an anvil in a relatively big room with two intermediate-level blacksmith furnace, the sound of hammering came to an abrupt stop.

The huge bloke behind the anvil abruptly raised his head as if looking at a distant memory or thought, his eyes shone in golden splendor only for a brief second.

"Willy, give me some room." the huge bloke said to the second and only other person in the room with him.

"Yes, Mr Grant." the young man, Willy, said and left.

Once Willy left the room Mr Grant couldn't hold himself anymore as he burst out laughing, "Haha, looks like you've hit jackpot, boy. I wonder what trails and challenges the world might throw at ya now. Haha..."

In an even further land with red cloud and gray sky...

An entire city... no, an entire country, a Duchy, stood desolate, void of life. Some would say even the air itself was dead. Every house having a sad tale, every cobblestone giving a loud wail.

At the northern most side of the desolate duchy was a mountain range and just like the city below, it was dead. It's surface gray with black trunks of rotten trees towering high into the sky, one could tell it had once been full of life, and at the same time gave meaning to live.

The gray mountain stood lonely without any shred of green not even it's soil was off any use. At the very top of the mountain was a large cave with a height of over twenty metres and a width of ten. At the very end a pair of golden eyes much, much larger than a human head opened. It's iris having the mixture of purple and black with occasional flashes of red.

The pair of eyes looked no different than that of a serpent or a cat but, held powers like no other. It truly as though it's very eyes could trap the soul of any mortal who came across it. Heaving out a breath akin to a small storm, a giant head was shown. Scales that speak of ages past although lost its luster still retainer its magnificent and ancient aura. Two broken horns spoke of its might.

Without the need to open it's mouth it's voice was heard as it spoke to no one yet everyone.

"Finally, young ones. My time has come and passed, all and the fate of the world will depend on you. I, Q'yil Nagmar, will now pass my fading strength and power onto the next Q'yil."

With its last breath a light ball floated out of the massive creatures glabella and shot across the sky like a shooting star. The creature stood up with great difficulty slowly stretching it's bat-like wings that was riddled with holes; obvious signs of great battles or just aging. Standing on its four legs which hosted powerful claws, it raises its head inside the cave that seemed much larger with its massive body.

"It is finished."

With a loud roar great wind blew in all directions signaling the end of an ancient race, an ancient being, an ancient dragon.

Is this the end of the Badlands?
