The New Beginnings 01

Numerous people inside and outside of Verdana managed to evacuate near the southern area of Arcturus. They were left with nothing but despair while some of them are mourning those families that they lost and were killed by none other than Yama himself. To think that a mere town would be devastated that easily only left them with grief and negative impact.

Meanwhile, in the city of Taurus' clan, Terrabada. Every people on this land were doing their own business as usual. The city of Terrabada, far away from Verdana, is one of the most richest division as well coming from one of the strongest 4, owned by the clan of Taurus. The place were deserted and it's not easy to live in here due to overpopulation. The city were also known for its strongest perseverance because of Taurus' clan influence.

Most of the guards here are stronger than a normal magician, they can easily defeat anyone or any group that dares to set foot on these vast area.

Lennon, Captain of the 1st Division in the Taurus clan is currently leading the capita of Terrabada. He is also a member of the top 100 strongest magician in the entire country. Due to his influence and leadership ability, he singlehandedly made the division better in a small amount of time, not considering all of the things he have done silently to make the region sustain itself.

Captain Lennon is a brute man, with his grumpy muscles, overpowered geokinesis and outstanding performance as a leader, everyone fears and loves him at the same time. He might look like a smug or someone that may destroy a city, but the people know that he had contributed more for the country than the previous ruler of it.

Inside Lennon's room, a bottle beer can be found on his table. Lennon is standing near the window, gazing through the sky as it goes dark. The clouds were behaving strangely and the smell of air were not intact as it is.

He puffed a cigarette contentedly and exhaled a large amount of smoke.

"Bad news, Captain. It looks like King Yama have already ruled the 1st division of Verdana in the north." A servant near the door reported the news with a trembling voice.

"Yeah, a bad news indeed." Captain Lennon said as he put out his cigarette and dropped it on the ash tray. He turned his back and decided to seat on his chair.

"I didn't expect this to be so early. How's the people in Verdana anyway?" Captain Lennon asked.

"Well, according to witnesses, half of the population in Verdana have managed to evacuate through the southern part far from where Yama invaded. Right now, all of them are currently staying there to take a day off. I'm afraid that they might get caught by Yama if they continued to walk on that path." The servant answered.

"You're right. Listen, I have a job for you, go to the royal capital and order the Military force to help the evacuees get into a safer place far from Verdana. Tell them that I ordered it. Make sure that they bring a lot of necessities to sustain those people. If King Yama finds them, it will be the end for us as well." Captain Lennon decided to help the people.

"Will do, Sir." After that, the servant left the room and Lennon all by himself. Judging from Lennon's expression, he didn't expect King Yama to arrive so early based on their own premonition.

The council of the 4 Strongest Zodiac Clan lead by the leaders have insinuated that Yama will arrive not so quickly.

On the secret place, buried underground. The 4 leaders were talking.

"What should we do? Even our ancestors feared this man. There's no way that we can beat him easily." The leader from Leo said.

"Don't worry, I have a plan. According to the archives, Yama's power won't be able to operate for 20 more years. This is because the power of the 4 elemental rings also sealed his own ability and thus he needs to find them first and wear it so he can use his true power quickly. If he doesn't find the elemental rings, we can use the advantage of him getting powerless, and then strike him." The leader from Gemini suggested the plan.

"Wait, Let's not be in a hurry, I think, it's more better if we find the Elemental rings first ourselves and beat Yama. We may not know, but I'm pretty sure that even without his true power, he can easily defeat all of us. After all, that man is the leader of the 13th clan." The leader from Scorpio disputed.

"I agree, let's find the Elemental rings first and use it against him." Leader from the Taurus said.

"But where are we going to start? We have no leads whatsoever." Gemini leader retracted.

"We have no choice but to investigate the whole continent of Raiaterra. That's the only way for us to get a lead." Leader from the Taurus said.

"Alright, we're going to do it. We have no choice."

All of the leaders agreed to go with the plan, judging from their expression, it is somewhat unordinary for the leaders to give a scorned look all while thinking about how are they going to defeat King Yama.

Meanwhile, on Verdana.

"King Yama, you've summoned me here, what can I do for you?" A mysterious shadow appeared in Yama's view. The figure is wearing a dark cloak with black auras emitting from its body. It doesn't look deadly but it definitely has an enormous amount of intimidation.

"Verdana has been conquered, but I'm afraid I won't be able to work efficiently due to my condition. I'm still exhausted by that fight with the Water Queen a while ago. For that reason, I'm going to assign you to be their leader for a few more years." King Yama said while panting.

"I understand, sir. But are you sure about being vulnerable?" The shadow asked.

"Don't worry, those morons doesn't know where the elemental rings are. It will take them a lot of time before they can navigate this whole land. And once I'm awake I will continue to find it myself and become the most powerful ruler in this world." Yama said.

That's right, I'll take back what was mine 700 years ago and fulfill my dream in the present. A thought inside Yama's head.

"Still though, assigning me on this very important job, why?" The shadow asked with a serious tone. King Yama felt irritated due to his annoyance and ovbious questions.

"Isn't that obvious, Pekka? I know that you're currently leading a secret elitist group not so far away from this region to hopefully demolish and conquer the other division. You're also one of the top 100's most strongest magician and people still doesn't know what you're currently planning." Yama said; Pekka, the shadow figure revealed itself by taking off the hoodie and the dark cloak.

It is a young looking warrior who emits a powerful magic element, owned by the Zodiac Clan of Pisces. The Shadow Element. ;0

"My, that's really sharp of you my lord. How did you know it was me all along?" Pekka smirked as he asked another question.

"I may look like a terrifying person outside, but I'm always updated and clever about who I pick and knowing that you have the same plan as me, I can already tell that you will be essential for me as well as executing my own plan." King Yama answered.

"Well then, I suppose I should be going now. See you soon, My lord." Pekka departed as he walk way with a wave.

"Oh, before you go..." King Yama remembered something as Pekka were walking.

"What is it?"

"I need you to commence a mass expedition outside Raiaterra and find something out about Linda's family and companions." He ordered with a scorned expression, it is something important and serious.

"Linda? Why should we search for her family?" Pekka asked.

"I have a bad feeling about something, anyway, it's still early for that mission, right now, your top priority is to make the army large enough to conquer the other zodiac clans. It would be also better if you can negotiate with them and turn them into our allies. If the number of our enemies doesn't get low, it will difficult for us to execute the plan." King Yama answered with a serious tone.

"Okay..." Pekka sighed and left the room. The quietness of the room emerged yet again and the beautiful luminosity of the treasures buried inside the cave walls illuminated the area magnificently. King Yama's hideout are currently situated beneath the mountain where no one else has been to. It's also Pekka's manmade hideout ever since he started recruiting people to start an oligarchy.

"Shadow Advanced Skill Magic: Nightmare Cocoon." King Yama casted an high tier magic skill to inhabit and seal his soul temporarily to gain his powers. Some elemental users also used this kind of magic skill to buy time or to regenerate their mana and abilities.

The sun began to set, the nice air were overlapped by some thick amount of smokes from the flames who burned Verdana. Uncle Martin and baby Nile is currently taking a break near the outpost beneath falls.

The evacuees were exhausted, some of them are reaching out the waterfalls to drink water and to take a nice bathe. The look on their faces are dim and somewhat negative.

"Hey Martin, who's that child?" An old man asked Uncle Martin.

"Oh this? This is Nile. He is my sister's child." Uncle Martin wore a smile to hide the pain he is currently feeling. It's hard for him to tell something regarding his sister's child knowing that Linda died because of King Yama.

"Oh... He's a handsome boy eh? Are you sure you want to raise this child?"

"Yeah, I promised to her that I'll be raising her child. Because this child, will be our savior, one day..." A soft statement came from Uncle Martin's mouth with an ease. It made the people who were listening feel better at some point and their expression happily changed.

After resting for a while, a man from the frontline noticed something...

"Hey! Look at that! Someone is coming here!" He shouted.

"What did you say?! Is it them?!" A large group of people woke up and was startled. They are expecting that King Yama must have been searching for them to finish them off.

"This is bad! We should get going!" Numerous murmurings can be heard.

"No wait!" The man who's looking stopped them.

"It's not Yama's army!" He said.

Uncle Martin placed down Baby nile on the sheet and stood up to see what is going on. He walked through the steep mountain and as he saw the view from the top...

'That crest symbol... It's from the taurus clan'

"They're not Yama's servants, they're from the clan Taurus!"

"Oh thank god!"

"We're saved now!" The evacuees began cheering as they saw that a large horde of soldiers riding a horse with the symbol of the Taurus zodiac clan has been coming this way. They eventually stopped when they reached the peak of the waterfalls and a lot of soldiers came in.

"All of you! Go prioritize those who have been injured and help them go to the carrier. The rest of you, create a magic barrier within this radius and help people!" A guy in the frontline ordered his men to help rescue the evacuees.

"Arthur?" Uncle Martin gasped after he said that man's name. The man shifted his look to Uncle Martin and he immediately recognized him.

"Martin? Is that you? Martin!" He quickly rushed in to get into Martin's position.

"It's been so long eh? Arthur..." Uncle Martin coughed a blood.

"Martin what happened?! You've been shot!" Arthur yelled in confusion.

"Yeah... I managed to save my sister's child somehow..." He said while panting.

"Linda's boy... huh... Anyway let's get you healed. Earth Skill Magic: Healing roots!" Arthur casted a medical spell into Martin's belly to stop the bleeding he's been enduring for the last few hours.

"Here, let me help you go to the carrier..."

"Wait, I need to go get Nile..." Martin rushed back to get baby Nile. The baby was sobbing really hard and Martin tried his best to cheer him up and it was a success. Soon after that, all of the evacuees have been rescued and treated. The horde is now going back to the capital to provide the necessary sustenance for the people who survived the attack.

While lodging back, Martin asked something...

"Hey Arthur, is it okay if apply for a soldier for the taurus clan?"

"Well, if that's your way of keeping you and Linda's child healthy then sure. Even though we actually forbid Water elemental users in our team, I'm going to let you be an exception to this rule since you're a survivor. Captain Lennon would get mad if we disregard all of you." Arthur answered.

Soon enough, the carrier reached the gates at the entrance for the capital. It was a long ride, some people are nauseous but they arrived safely.

"Linda... I'll promise that I will raise Nile perfectly... He will avenge us and our family..."

"Welcome to Terrabada!"
