Prologue

Imagine looking up at the sky and seeing not one, but two purple moons - one of which was thought to be a legend. Well, that's exactly what happened on all eight continents, leaving people in awe and wonder. Some believed it was good luck, signaling the birth of a hero, while others feared it was the beginning of the end. Amidst all the speculation, something had undoubtedly changed in the world, and the air was heavy with uncertainty.

In the Elven kingdom, Queen Alayna was filled with excitement as she made her way to the Spirit Sanctuary with her newborn son, Prince Elyion. The Spirit Sanctuary was a sacred place where the wise and revered Spirit King resided, and Alayna was eager to present her son to him and receive his blessings. As she walked through the sanctuary, memories of her past visits flooded her mind, but this time, it was different. She was holding her son in her arms, and she hoped to gain guidance and advice from the wise king.

Upon arriving at the small water pool where the Spirit King was waiting, Alayna felt a sense of respect and awe. The king greeted her warmly and asked who the little one was. Alayna replied with a smile, "My lord, this is my third son, Elyion. I would like to receive your blessing on this occasion to welcome him into the Elven royal family."

The Spirit King looked upon Elyion and smiled before getting a more serious face. He revealed that Elyion had little magic essence compared to the other members of the royal family. However, he also shared that Elyion's magic essence would grow until he had fully matured as a high elf, and he might even surpass the first elven king in the amount of magic essence he would have control over! The Spirit King also foresaw a long journey for the young prince, many trials and tribulations that would eventually lead him to become the next Elven king.

Alayna was proud of her son, but she was also shocked at the Spirit King's decision. Being appointed as the crown prince was a momentous event in the elven kingdom, unlike any other kingdom on this planet. This position carried a unique privilege - it meant that all of your children would automatically be high elves. No one in the world, besides the current king or queen and the crown prince, had this ability because the existence of high elves depended solely on the spirit king's blessing. Their entire existence was contingent upon it.

Despite the shock, the Spirit King's decision was final. He knew that the other princes were not suited for the role, and darkness was becoming more present in the world. The newly born prince was fitted for this role, and he must bless him with the title of crown prince. Alayna understood the weight of the situation. She had seen signs of a growing darkness over the past hundred years and knew that it would continue to grow in the future. Her husband had also warned her of a growing darkness in the other two princes. Both of them wanted the throne and were willing to kill their little brother to gain that position.

With the Spirit King's approval, Prince Elyion was now the rightful heir to the throne. As the future king, he would bear the responsibility of leading his people with wisdom and strength to fight against the growing darkness that threatened their land. However, this journey would not be easy, and the prince might have to leave this kingdom to gain the strength necessary to lead his people to victory.

Before leaving, the Spirit King bestowed one more blessing upon the young one. A small orb of light appeared and moved towards Elyion, hovering around him before merging with him. Smiling, the Spirit King looked at Alayna and said, "That was my daughter Enfia, a royal light spirit. She liked his soul and made a contract binding them together. Whatever he may face in the future, she will be right beside him."

As the Spirit King disappeared into thin air, Alayna found herself standing alone in the sanctuary. She looked up at the bright night sky, marveling at the sight of two distinct moons - one purple and one magic. The world was changing, and her son was destined to play a crucial role in shaping its future.
