The last gem piece

Cyrus P.O.V

Zulia falls to the ground after defeating Prince Caderyn, I ran over to her as Travis speedily runs after.

I lift her body up as she stares at me with weakened eyes,

"For a Princess you're quite stubborn".

I took her to my room and gently placed her on the bed, Travis stares at her worriedly.

I called for a maid to inform her sister Amora of Lia's situation.

Amora arrives not too long after the maid left.

She walks up to the bed her sister rests.

"What happened?" she touches her sister.

"She had a duel with the Prince of Estrius, seems she overexerted herself.

Amora stared quietly,

"Why was she dueling with a Prince in the first place?".

"She pointed her sword at him and had to duel—, wait why am I explaining things to my brother's maid?" I stared her.

"Pardon my rudeness, Your Grace". she bows

Lia finally gains conciousness, and notices her sister

"You released Orah!!!" Lia yells

"Is that what you should be talking about first, you pointed your sword at a Prince, thats treason!!!" Amora yells back.

A maid walks in "Your Graces, Prince Aragon request for your presence at the forbidden chambers"

We left for the forbidden chambers, spotting Aragon seated on the chair as he stared at the table, lost in his thoughts.

He finally notices our presence as he looks up

"I found the last piece on Princess Irina" he raises his right hand, a green gem as a pendant on a neckchain dangled in his grasp.

"Is that... the last piece?, why does the Princess have it?".

"I have no idea but what's more important is what are we doing next with the last piece, give it to Ivan?" Aragon asks with a serious look on his face.

"So with this, I'll get to see Leonora again?" he snatches the chain from Aragon's palm,

"I will send a letter to be delivered to Ivan, we shall go ahead with the plan". He said in a stern tone.

"Wait... we have to discuss, I don't think we should give such power to Ivan".

"And what do we have to discuss, should we wait until mother's body rots in the icy room?".

The room was quiet for awhile,

"After some thoughts, wouldn't it be cruel to disturb the dead and bring them to this tasteless world, which they already escaped through death, we've already mourned the death of Mother and Father has very much indeed moved on, it will be terrible to—".

"And what about Leonora?".

Silence fills the room, Aragon is conflicted on what path to take as Travis is still driven by his guilt, the guilt of killing his own lover.

"Travis, Aragon, why don't you both think this over and decide on what the choice should be, I'll stick with your final decision but I'll say this, Will mother be happy to be revived especially at the cost of an innocent life?".

They nod in agreement.

"Also there are other pressing matters on ground, your engagement to Princess Irina"

"I will... I would never see her as a potential partner, I'm not getting engaged to such a girl, so petty, naive, feeble and she's definitely not fit to be a queen, I oppose to such union" he said in a strong tone.

"Why don't I help you brother" I said to him

Aragon looks at me curiously.

"And how do you plan to help?".

"I'll let you hear of it later but right now I need your consent to invite a special guest on the king's birthday"

Travis is still lost in thoughts thinking of what to do with the gem.

"I'll leave you two to decide" I walked out.

Now it's time to put my plans into effect.

Princesses, I'll figure you out no matter how much you hide.
