Chapter Thirty-One

I clap my hands together, causing a thin blade to grow as I widen my hands. It’s a seafoam green, matching the goddess’s scales perfectly. The blade itself is so sharp, and thin, it can cut through rock as easily as it could water. I grab the hilt as I smile at him.

Greyson’s eyes widen and slightly opens his jaw. “That’s Asharie’s Bane.”

“That’s what they call it.” I point it at him. “Do you want to bow out now?”

He grins, “Nope. Now I can get a little rougher with you.”

“I was hoping you’d say that.” I charge at him as he swings at me. I cut through the air and hit his back, knocking him into the temple, and causing the roof to cave in.

“Senja!” Kaelish yells from below. “This is my home you know?”

“Then you shouldn’t have paired me with a Hybrid,” I shout back.

“I didn’t!” she screams as Greyson launches back to attack me.
