The closer it got to the final 36 disciples remaining, the longer it was between eliminations. Not only were the disciples more cautious, but also stronger, smarter, and more experienced.
Forming allies was not uncommon as time went on in the battle royale, with many groups of 2 and 3 forming. There was even a group of 5 young women with neck-snapping, tent-raising, blood-pumping beauty.
This group of 5 was not to be trifled with despite four of them only being in the third stage of the Nebula Realm, the Star Fusion stage. One had superb control over wind, forming a Unique Wind Intent and was just about unhittable. Another had an iconic Bloodline, rare and powerful, and only few could match her physical prowess when her Bloodline was active.
