Work wasn't enough to distract me. Not really. And I suddenly found myself in a place where I needed escape.
The client lunch was going to steal my break time, which pissed me off, so I spent more than one "bathroom break" with my book in one of the stalls.
But it wasn't enough.
Ash was texting more often than usual, worried about me. Rightly, as it happened. But what could I say?
Sorry, Ash, but I'm terrified you were right that God put me here to be with you and I don't want to be with you even though the man who holds my heart is probably a fuck-boy?
