I was speechless. For about ten seconds. Then I almost laughed. "What?! Emory… Where the hell did you get that idea?"
Emory rolled her eyes. "How do you think you got to Arinel in the first place, Zara?"
"I told you! I was sad and I prayed and God told me—"
"You dreamed. You fell asleep here, and woke up there. Do you know any other dreams where you physically transport, Zara?"
"No, but God—"
"Open your eyes, Zara. You're from a Physicist's bloodline. Your mom probably had the gift and passed it on—"
"My mom doesn't give two shits about me, and trust me, there's nothing special or powerful about her."
