"We have come to an agreement" replied.
"Have you forgiven him" my mother continued with her stubbornness.
"We want the best for Dan" I said
"Are you thinking of a future with him" she bit back.
"Enough" my father yelled "Not another word" he told mom. She reluctantly gave up.
"I trust you" he told me "Just know that we are always here to support you. Come to us okay; come to your parents with your problems. Don't deal with them alone. We'll stay if you want to. We'll leave if you don't feel like staying" he smiled at me "Now go, help Becca in the kitchen. Your mother needs some time to cool down"
I gave my mother's hand a final squeeze before standing up.
"Thank you dad" I gave him a hug "I love you"
"And Esther" my father's voice stopped me as I was entering the kitchen.
I turned my face towards him and quirked a brow in question.
"He doesn't deserve my daughter" He smiled sadly "She's way too good for him"
