THE CHLDREN OF EARTH

After saving the earth for a zillionth time Kara Zorell needed a rest from all the fights and confusions of life, she needed a vacation and for the first time since she landed on earth this was possible.

Kara still remembered her life on Krypton, this is because unlike her cousin Kal El, she was actually raised on Krypton for the first years of her life until she was thirteen years old.

At thirteen her parents sent her into an escape pod to follow her cousin Kal to earth. Having been briefed on the situation of Earth and the effects that will be created by the planet's yellow sun Ray's she believed she can raise him properly.

This was of course becaus she wouldn't be doing it alone, accompanying her were the digital files of both her parents along with the digital files of Kal's parents.

Once she arrived she would find a safe location and establish a defensive fortress with the memory crystal, at that time no technology on the planet would be able to detect them let alone threaten them.

However reluctant she was to let her parents go she wasn't given any much of a choice in it, because of her reluctance to leave her parents she actually set off a few minutes later and that was only because she saw Kal's ship leave the atmosphere.

This have her the courage to leave, she couldn't allow her cousin to live in an alien land alone without any family to keep him company, as such her escape pod was 20 minutes behind schedule.

The problem with this was that Jor El had calculated the escape time to place both pods outside of the explosive effect of the planet, so since she was 20 minutes late, she escape pod was affected by the blast wave from Krypton's explosion.

This explosion threw her off course sending her into a nearby temporal wormhole where she traversed the space-time anomaly for several decades, when she exited the anomaly over two decades had passed but she didn't k ow it yet.

Luckily the wormhole deposited her in a starfield just outside the Milkyway galaxy, using her ship's AI she locked onto Kal's ship and used his locator to pull her to his position, she believed that even if she is late she could still locate and safeguard her sibling, she didn't know how wrong she was.

It was only after arriving on earth that she discovered just how wrong she had been, she had spent over 25 years in the wormhole although to her it just a few moments.

Her pod arrived in the Arctic just outside the Fortress of solitude where she was greeted by an adult Kal El, she realized just then that she had failed in her mission.

Baby cousin Kal was already an adult, she had missed all his life and he didnt need her anymore, to make matters worse he had already grown into his abilities and revealed his presence to the people of this world.

The humans of earth revered him like a god and even branded him the moniker of Superman, after she adapted to the atmosphere and finally accepted that Kal was dong just fine she wanted to depart and search through Krypton's old outposts.

Perhaps the two of them werent the only ones that had survived Krypton's destruction, however she soon discovered how wrong she was once again, She learned from Kal that all of Krypton's old outposts were destroyed,

After the destruction of Krypton the Phantom Zone nolonger had a keeper as Kal was still too young and hadnt formed the memory cave yet so nothing could keep the zone contained as such the Kryptonian prison weakened.

Some of the really smart prisoners started finding a way out chief of whom were the exiled battalion led by general Zod one the former military leaders of Krypton, his rebellion led to a war that accelerated the death of Krypton.

After he escaped the phantom Zone he led his team onto one of Krypton's closest outposts where they located supplies and military equipment, they raided several outposts gathering resources but they never found any other survivors.

After twenty years Kal had come of age and awakened the Memory fortress which sent out a beacon to all of Krypton's old outposts as he too was looking for other survivors.

Unfortunately he attracted Zod to earth, the battle that followed led to his revelation to the world, Zod wanted to conquer the earth and use the Kryptonian world engine to reform Earyh into new Krypton,

The few humans strong enough to survive through the terraformation process would become the new citizens of New krypton. Kal fought against him and with a few human allies that sudenely rose to the occasion to defend their home they managed to halt the Kryptonian invasion of earth.

Together with these special people human and alien alike they formed a league of sorts to keep the planet safe from threats that sought to destroy it,

They called themselves the Justice league and he was one of its key members, she came to learn that hre people of earth had accepted him, although there always exists those that will reject his ideals majority of humans were good.

As such she chose to remain on earth and try to live the live of an ordinary citizen, Kal introduced her to his super friends as his cousin from Krypton. After a multitude of questions they came to accept her as well.

Among them she even came to find friends that would become a new family for her, these were naturally the assistants to Kal's super friends, some of them were related to the super friends while others were apprentices.

Together they formed a team of their own called Young Justice, the team was led by Dick Grayson aka Robin that later transitions to Nightwing, Dick was the adoptive son to the leader of the Justice league Batman aka Bruce Wayne.

Then there was her as the relative to Clark Kent aka Superman, they granted her the pseudonym Supergirl. Their third member was Donna Troy aka Wonder girl, Donna was amazonian from the same island as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman.

Next was Megan Morzz aka Miss Martian, she was a distant cousin to the Martian Manhunter aka John Johnz, next came Kaldur Ahm, apprentice to Aquaman, Kaldur was a human Atlantean hybrid.

Then came Kid Flash aka Wally West, the brother in law to Barry Allen aka the Flash, and lastly was Victor Stone, victor was just a kid that got turned into a cyborg by alien technology.

Together they formed the Titans, with time the team grew with the arrival of members like Starfire aka Korry Anders a Tamaranean princess in exile from her people.

Raven aka Rachel Roth a human demon hybrid from the alternate dimension of Azarath, Beastboy aka Garfield Logan a young boy mutated by alien blood and gaining shapeshifting abilities.

And many more over the ten years she operated as a Titan, in this time she came to see herself as a native of earth but after ten years a rogue Ai from Krypton's pastarrived on earth.

Brainiac was an AI that gained sentience and sought to control Krypton, it was stopped and exiled but little did they know that after escaping the phantom zone Braniac established a race of synthetic life forms on a planet named Colu.

Now he led these people to conquer planets in search of more knowledge about the universe, in his travels he came to learn of the survivors of Krypton leading the heroes of a distant planet in the Milky way called Earth.

He came to earth ins search of them, the guardians of earth had grown over the years and now boasted an array of powerful members together they fought and managed to defeat Brainiac and in the progess of releasing his prisoners they found a treasure.

A full city of Kryptonians had been frozen in their last days before the fall of Krypton, how Braniac had accomplished that they didnt know but he had it.

This was the bottled city of Kandor, however the city couldn't exist outside the bottle as it would be subject to universal forces, crumble and perish along with all its inhabitants.

Also unlocking it within planetary atmosphere would have unexpected consequences for the planet so for now they were puzzled on how to deal with it.

As such the city remained bottled for the past two years until recently when the Daxamites arrived to conquer the earth, after they were defeated by the league and their leader deposed, their new leader chose to have a peace treaty with the earth.

Through sharing information the league learned about about the universe and through some of this information they discovered a safe way to actually unlock Coluan prison bottles.

And not just that they came to learn of a few universal wonders like the floating asteroids that just happened to have a breathable atmosphere, such asteroids were used as reconnaissance outposts by advanced races in the universe.

And it just so happens that there is one such un-inhabited asteroid not far away from the Solar system, the environment it exists in doesn't have a yellow sun so over there Kryptonians would just be regular people just like they were back on Krypton.

It's just that this asteroid is so close to the solar system so no races would dare get so close to another race for fear of instigating conflicts. But little of they know that some of the technology left behind by the Zod's confiscated battle ship included jump drives.

The league helped to harness the asteroid and though the jump drives transported it to the edges of the milky way galaxy, before the bottle was then released.

A new kryptonian city had been freed and the population of kryptonians in existence rose from 2 to over 2 thousand, bottled city of Kandor was released onto the Asteroid becoming the last kryptonian refuge of Kandor.

After this Kara felt homesick, she wanted to take some time off superheroing and take a vacation on Kandor where she could be with her people. Although she knew she would have to return to earth eventually, for the time being earth would be under the league's protection.

Her cousin didnt see any reason to inhibit her long needed rest, this was because he k ew that although Kara had tried to fit in with earth over the past twelve years the truth was she still spent more than half of her life on Krypton, she missed it every day unlike him who had no memories of hi time there.

So if this travel to Kandor could help her heal then he would gradually help her with it, as such they got her a space faring vessel from some of Krypton's space ships they had liberated from the warship.

With her memory of Krypton this was more real to her than anything else on earth, she boarded the ship, said a few goodbyes to her friends and family and then set off for Kandor.

Due to the absence if a jump drive a this was just a fighter vessel that wasn't intended to traverse the space ways independently she needed to take the long way there via the help of an antimatter engine.

Even the long way was considered incredibly fast to humans as it would take her a total of of even days to travel to the edge of the galaxy, the journey would be long but she chose this way to relax and see the universe.

On her fifth day traversing the space ways se was met with another spatial anomaly, this time she was so scared as she didnt want to accidentally fall into another temporal wormhole.

However to her shock this anomaly turned out to be worse than a temporal wormhole, it was a tear in eh fabric of reality and falling out of it was the energy of the bleed,

This energy was so dangerous that it eroded all it came into contact with, she maneuvered her vessel away from the bleed energy but s she was escaping she was shocked to see the tear repairing itself, and sudeenly something was ejected out of the tear before it was fully sealed off.

Whatever came from the bleed must have been extremely terrifying but as she used her telescopic vision she was shocked to see it was a perosn, he looked human with silver white hair.

He was covered in a white gold advanced battle uniform clearly indicating that he was a great warrior, however the uniform didn't possess protective head gear meaning he could freely survive within space unaided.

His body was radiating white energy, the computers of the war vessel couldn't identify what kind of energy this was however it seemd to have a neutralizing effect to bleed energy, whenever the white energy passed the damage done by bleed energy recovered and space returned to normal.

As she was still staring at this strange man that came out of the bleed the momentum that had ejected him out of the bleed was bringing him closer to her and she didn't realize it until he actually smashed into her vessel shaking her out of her trance.

Instantly she stopped the ship and flew outside to get him, the vessel had been retrofitted with a few equipment to aid her in her travels and ashes brought the man inside she took him to the medical bay.

Her med-unit scanned him and finalized that he was in a stable state, his mind wa ssimoly unconcious due to blunt force trauma, it seems like he had been in a fight and was thrust out of it.

His genetic mater was mostly inconclusive but the closest match was the Galadorians of the Andromeda galaxy, however he seemed to have been genetically modified with some traces of genetic matter that make him slightly resemble kryptonian biology.

The only problem was that his cells don't seem to be receptive of solar energy the same way Kryptonian cells operate on the contrary his cells seem to draw a trace of energy that exists within the universe however this energy is so faint that it's almost non existent.

Because of this his strength was actually falling rapidly, Kara continued on her way to Kandor and just when she was one day away her guest sudeenly awakened,

As he awakened she came to see him and as he saw her he seemed to calm down addressing her as a Phaelosian however the language he used was so ancient that she only understood it after the ship translated it.

The language belonged to a long deceased race of beings know as the Maltusians of rhe ong destroyed Planet Maltus. The onpyreason they knew of it was because Maltus was the birth place of the Guardisns of Oa the home of the green lantern corps.

Now he had called her a Phaelosian and she didnt understand what he meant by that, she responded to him in English but he didnt understand a word she said, then she repeated in kryptonian and somehow he understood her,

She asked him how he understood kryptonian and he asked her what kryptonian was he claimed sh wa sspeakng Phaelosian and he had learned it before the great war of the two empires.

Kara was getting even more confused as she asked him which war he was talking about and which empires she was referring to, looking at her face realization dawned on him as his memory slowly returned to him.

He promptly asked her where he is and how he came to be in this place, Kara told him he was close to the edge of the Milkyway galaxy and he had arrived here through a tear in the fabric of reality he fell from the bleed.

Listening to her he finally came to a conclusion and proclaimed that he wasn't lost in space, he was lost in reality. He proclaimed that he fell into a different reality.
