The Beginning

The legion was getting restless waiting for their king. At the front of the legion was a girl standing next to man. She was around 15 and had long black hair that was tied up in a neat ponytail. She had beautiful brown eyes that you could easily get lost in you if you looked long enough. This girl was Aife, she was not only the second in command but she was also the niece to the king. She stood with her head held high and confidence and authority oozing from her in waves. The man standing next to her was towering over her, he was Jason, Aife'ss brother. He was 5 years older than her and short wavy hair and brown eyes so light that they looked like honey. He was the first in command and had his shoulders back and was standing in attention looking for any threat toward their uncle, Robin, king of Laurn.

There was sudden silence when King Robin walked onto the podium.

"I would like to make an announcement. My dearest nephew and niece, Jason and Aife, and your commander will be escorting Wyatt" a boy around Aife's age walks onto stage with a permanent smirk plastered to face "will be escorting him to the Holy Temple in Corona."

The entire legion was shocked their kingdom, Laurn, was in the extreme north to the city of Corona and then the Holy temple was on the absolute outskirts of the city nearing the border with another kingdom. The journey alone would last at least 2 weeks but with Wyatt, who clearly looked like he had never been camping, it would take a lot longer considering the amount of pit stops they would need to take.

"Uncle, if you wouldn't mind my asking. Who is Wyatt that you would send away both your generals?" asked Aife.

"Well my child, Wyatt here is the one in the prophecy of ancients and I am sending you and your brother as you are the people I would trust my life with. I and I do believe that a many people would like to see an end to Wyatt before he can reach the Temple so I must advice that you leave as soon as possible."  Before Aife could question her uncle further Jason stopped her. Their uncle dismissed the legion and went back to his office.

Wyatt stepped down from the podium and went to greet his guardians for his journey to the Temple. "Hi! The name's Wyatt. It's nice to meet you I know that I'm really big and important but can you tell me why exactly why?" Wyatt asked the siblings,

"You don't know the prophecy?" Aife asked sceptically.

"Well the entire prophecy is about a child who will one day come and save the country and they will traverse harsh terrain and face innumerable challenges and may even face death and depending on their choices he will either help those with evil intentions or those with pure intentions. The child is also to be guided according to the prophecy a girl with a wise beyond her ages and an amazon as fierce as any man, a man who will teach the child how to be a better person and how to fight. Together the two will teach the child the necessities to be a good leader and help them reach their final destination." Aife finished.

"So we now believe that Aife and I may be the two people the prophecy may refers to can be us as we are escorting you in your journey" Jason summarises. Aife nods in agreement

"So Aife is a pretty lady like you single or do I have to fight somebody for you?" Wyatt asked Aife in a flirty tone.

"Look Wyatt, I am the second in command to the massive army that you saw a few minutes ago, do you really think that I would want to have dead-weight to lug around while I try to my job?" Aife asked.

"Well no, but I'm pretty sure that if you give me a chance I'll spin your world around, you will see just how awesome I am." Wyatt said cheekily.

"Ok Wyatt I am only going to say this once so listen carefully; I'm way out of your league, so don't even try." and with that said Aife walked away with her brother to pack their things for the trip.
