Chapter 25: Warehouse trial part 2
Yatia and Nia stood frozen in fear as they stared at the menacing creature. The sound of its growls echoed throughout the chamber, making the hair on the back of their necks stand up. The creature's size was immense, and its every movement was palpable.
Yatia and Nia stood rooted to the spot, their eyes fixed on the looming creature in front of them. Its sheer size was overwhelming, and the mere sound of its growls sent shivers down their spines. Its thick fur covered most of its body, leaving only its sharp, jagged teeth visible in the dim light of the chamber. Its eyes were like two glowing orbs, fixed intently on the duo. As they watched, the creature's tail slowly slid along the ground before coming to a sudden stop just a few meters away from them. The tip of the tail was shaped like a spear, adding to the creature's already imposing figure. Its every movement was palpable, and its presence dominated the room. Suddenly, the tail shot up, and the sharp teeth glinted in the dim light as it pointed directly at Yatia and Nia. Two gray symbols materialized on either side of the creature, adding to its already fearsome appearance.
Nia felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized the gravity of the situation. They were facing a dangerous creature, and their lives were at risk. She looked over at Yatia, who seemed to be sizing up the creature, his eyes calculating and sharp. Despite her fear, Nia knew that they had to stay calm and think rationally if they wanted to survive this trial.
Yatia watched in awe as Nia's symbol emitted a bright green light, illuminating the chamber. The metallic stars that emerged from the gray symbols gleamed menacingly as they hurtled towards Nia with alarming speed. Yatia instinctively took a step back, unsure of what to expect.
The room was filled with a strange energy as Nia focused on channeling her power. The sound of the metallic stars slicing through the air was deafening, but Nia didn't flinch. Her face was calm and collected, as if she was in complete control of the situation.
As the first star closed in on her, the green glow on Nia's hand intensified, and the claw grew even larger.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Nia slashed at the approaching metallic star, sending it flying in all directions upon impact. The creature let out a deafening roar in response, as if angry that its attack had been thwarted so easily. Its tail thrashed back and forth, and it lowered its head, ready to charge. Nia stood her ground, the green glow intensifying around her.
Undeterred, the second star was sent towards a blind spot in Nia's defenses. But she was not so easily fooled, her primal instincts kicking in just in time. With a swift turn, Nia narrowly hit the star, sending it careening towards a different direction.
As the star missed its target, it hit the wall with a loud clang, leaving a deep dent in its wake. The creature let out another ear-piercing growl, showing its frustration at the duo's resilience. It started pacing around the room, its eyes still fixed on Nia and Yatia, as if trying to find a weakness in their defenses. Meanwhile, Nia's green glow had intensified.
As Nia focused her energy, the green glow on her right hand intensified, illuminating the chamber with an eerie light. But it wasn't just her right hand that glowed - her left hand also began to radiate with the same bright green energy. The glow swirled around both of her hands rapidly, almost as if it was alive.
With the formation of the second claw, Nia felt a sense of power coursing through her veins. The two green, glowing claws made her feel invincible. She was ready for her counterattack, her eyes locked on the creature in front of her.
