The Child Soldier's Reincarnation

'The Weapon', that was what the soldiers called him. A young boy who ran into battle and simply killed what he was told to. All the higher ups used him as a tool, so calling him a weapon was rather fitting. He was a child who's talent was monstrous, he lived in a world where people produced 'Aura.' And although his Aura pool was rather large it wasn't what made him so monstrous, he possessed a Unique Attribute. The Corruption Attribute, it could stop natural regeneration, make the body and the ground crumble to dust. It made things decay and was like a poison. On top of that, he had a level of intelligence that would surpass even graduates of famous universities. His martial skills were also powerful, he could copy martial arts with a glance. However, he had been brainwashed and drugged to the point where he couldn't disobey. One night he was sent to battle and never returned. The Weapon only had one belonging, a book, it was the book written by the first person that he had killed. And he had reincarnated as a villain... _______________________________________________ All the art, the covers and in the images used in this book belong to their respective owners, I do not claim to own these images. Chapter 37 - The Elixir

Valier Pendragon POV:

I woke up in what seemed to be a hospital bed, there were some bandages wrapped around my body, but for the most part I was okay aside from some muscle pains. Well, it wasn't really surprising that my muscles had been shredded my by own strength and some shattered bones. The pain was fairly annoying but for someone like myself, it wouldn't inhibit anything.

Sat on the other side of the room was 'that' man, now that I was sat fairly close to him I could tell that he was rather handsome, he had rather long hair and if memory severed me correctly, it was blonde. He also had green eyes.

I raised my hand and felt my own hair, it had grown quite a lot, it was long enough to reach my shoulders. It had been cut off a few times by my torturer because it made life slightly inconvenient for him. I looked a bit like a girl if I was being honest, but that was fine as it would probably make at least some people go easier on me if they thought I was a little girl. That'd make life a bit easier if I didn't need to do that.

"I believe you owe me an elixir..."

"Someone of your standing isn't worthy of hearing my name, you may address me however you wish."

"That works I suppose, now then, hand it over. This body of mine is weak, without that elixir I won't be able to serve whatever purposes your thinking of using me for."

The man walked over to me and handed me a drink that was in a rather fancy glass bottle. The bottle had a rather odd dark tinge to it.

"It's an elixir, drink it now, you won't feel anything just now. The effects will take place when you sleep, oh and you should know that the elixir is of a fairly high quality and it's been designed solely for physical enhancement. So although you won't get any magical nor healing based effects, you'll get better physical results than most Elixirs."

The man then left the room, his blonde hair swaying.

Once he departed from the room, I downed the contents of the bottle. The flavour was... odd, nothing terrible, but nothing amazing. Balanced was the most apt word for it. I didn't feel any significant changes to my body when I drank it, aside from a sped up heart rate. I decided to go and sleep and hope for the best.

***

It was around 1 or 2am, I felt my muscles spasm and tense. It felt like my bones would be crushed by my own muscles. Actually, I'm pretty sure that at one point, several of my bones were shattered by my own muscles. However my bones were slowly realigned and healed themselves. This process went on for a few hours, bones were crushed, healed and made stronger over and over.

It was only after several hours that the pain stopped, but it wasn't over just yet. I felt my muscles attempt to shatter my bones once more, however they ended up tearing themselves apart due to the newfound strength of my bones. And so, even more time passed as my muscles tore themselves apart. The healing process was somewhat faster than when my bones healed but it still hurt quite a bit.

Throughout this whole process, I couldn't move at all, after another 30 minutes of my body tearing itself apart. I passed out.

When I woke up, I felt... different. And looked different, I had grown a fair bit and was around as tall as an average 13 year old. My muscles were visibly thicker and more well defined, my bones also felt a lot stronger. The world seemed to move at a staggeringly slow pace. This was due toy cognitive function having increased.

It also made me more comfortable in this body. Before when I moved, there was a short time lag between when I'd make the decision and when it'd happen. And I also couldn't really use any high level martial arts as I had rather low control over my body and nervous system. But now, I had much better control over my body. I still wasn't as strong as I could be in terms of physical prowess, but this would be enough to overwhelm most.

In my prime I could do things like fight for several days without sleep, food and water. I was also able to fight while asleep. And with Aura assisting me, I could more or less fight for longer than anyone. Well... there was an exception, that monster...

His body produced no fatigue, he could fight forever. His Aura capacity surpassed even my own, in fact in terms of sheer fire power, he completely eclipsed me. Even his martial skills weren't anything to scoff at. That fight was one of the few times I truly felt like I'd die back in my old world.

"Well... I suppose there's no use of reminiscing about the past."

I headed downstairs towards the gym and grabbed a sword, it was a simple wooden katana. I walked towards one of the training dummies, I lazily swung my sword with one hand and sliced it in half without any issues.

'Even with this level of physical strength, I'd probably be dwarfed in pure power by Leon and even if he didn't bother using Mana against me. So I shouldn't get cocky.'

I decided to train with the Katana, it's grip and length were fairly similar to my Edge Of Nightfall. On the topic of swords, my current Swordsmanship isn't at its peak due to my lack of control over my body. In fact, I could tell just from the movements of that sword Saint lady that as of right now, her sword skills probably rank higher than mine. But it's not like my current swordsmanship is inherently bad, it's merely that she possess a body and mind designed solely for the sword.

I decided to train with the blade a while longer before hitting the weights.
