Growth And Obstacles

His fingers clench the tip of an arrow. His hand lowers to his side and he turns to face the adversary hiding.

"As expected of a Forest King Candidate." A guy around 6 feet and 4 inches approached them.

(Why does everyone keep calling me that?) Ogunn was confused.

"If you were killed with that attack alone I'd be disappointed." He had a raspy and mocky like voice.

(I'm already tired of this guy.) Ogunn thought.

"But you're ruining our plans so i, the-" Cutting him off, he faced Biest.

"Who's this guy?" He gestured toward him with his thumb.

"That is my older brother, Torezahn. He was previously a candidate to become the next heir of the clan but forfeited it to work for our older sister." Biest explained.

"Jeez, another brother thats under your sister. What is this a hive mind?" As he finished his sentence, a growling yell reached his ears.

"Hey!! Do not ignore me to speak about me you monkey!! I'll rip your head off, head to the Stone Monkey tribe and tear even Sun Wukong's head from his shoulders!!" The man exclaimed.

(Why is he telling me about what'd he do to Sun Wukong? Right because they think I'ma monkey too. Wait Sun Wukong exist here?!)

"Teacher!!" A set of sharp nails was front of his face coming toward him. His hand is placed on the side of their fingers. The attack was redirected completely. He felt the disturbnmance in the air as a being from above came down with a reverse grip on two blades aiming at his shoulders. He pushed the back of the guy who tried stabbing his face, using their own momentum against them.

He then turns his body and takes a step forward which causes the airborne attacker to miss. An arrow came through aiming for his dome but Ogunn tossed the arrow he held at that one, countering it and stopping its travel.

(This guy's something else. He effortlessly dodged every attack that came at him.) Torezahn thought.

Torezahn immediately rushed after Ogunn, throwing a strike to his chest by clawing at him horizontally. Ogunn moved toward the side his arm was on and dodged the attack. "Forget him and get Biest!!"

"Biest, I'll handle this guy. You deal with those two and the archer." He said while dodging attacks from Torezahn.

"But Teacher.." As she went to voice her opinion, a shine from the corner of her eye was seen. As she looks over to that area, she saw an arrow coming for her. She immediately leans back to dodge the attack and two other fighters come barrelling at her. (There's no time. If Teacher thinks I can take them on then I should do it.)

(Teachers way of fighting was always great with beating people with numbers.) She places a palm up directed toward the enemy and lets out a calm breeze from her mouth.

The man with blades slash horizontally at her neck first. She reaches out, pushing against his wrist while simultaneously grabbing it. The attack slows down. Her foot hits the side of their ankle while she twist their arm. The grip on the sword loosens and it drops to the ground. His entire body then folds, turning with the force she delivers.

(What the? I cant control my body!) He thought. She lets go as the other sends a thrust of their nails at her eye. While this happens, another arrow is sent at where she suppose to move toward. Her foot is applied to the man's chest and pushes back. Both the man and her is sent flying abit which causes the arrow to miss. She uses this momentum to flip backward and grab a rock off the ground. When she lands, her hips rotate, increasing the power behind her next action. Her arm swipes through the air, sending the rock flying at high speeds.

It appears in front of the archers face. "Huh?" Smacking them off the tree and knocking them out.

(This bitch is stronger than we thought.) The last man looks over at their teammate. The spinning caused by Biest rotating them in mid-air caused them to go through virtigo. Their balance was so off that they couldn't stand up properly.

"No matter." His nails change from a peach/white color to a violet shade. (One touch of this and she's dead.)

(He's using poison claws now. So he has a Unique Talent. No wonder why they took him with them.) Biest thought.

The man rushed at Beist with a crazed smile and slashed at her chest. In stead of moving backward, she ducked under it. Poison splashes off the claws as a blade. The tree behind her gets sliced in two. With each slice, she moved out of its angle to avoid the projectiles.

"Is dodging all you can do, PRINCESS!! ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME TIL YOU'RE DOOM!!" The man looked ecstatic af this endeavor and yet she was didn't look the least bit worried.

(He's right. With that poison, I could die a painful death. But, why don't I feel scared?) Her eyes caught a glimpse of each step, position, breathing, and pattern of his attack style. "Right, thats why."

He launched an uppercut like slash which she moved out of its way before he even delivered the attack. Once she sidestepped, her foot left the ground. As his arm moved up, her foot pushed against his arm which caused him to over throw his body into the attack.

She placed her foot back down and rotates her foot counterclockwise. Her hips follow right afterwards and with a shoulder to hip strike, (Slash with your body.) she swings her elbow downward.

His skin peels open along with a layer of muscle. "Gaah!!" And falls on his back. Biest kicks the temple of the dizzy opponent, defeating all of her opponents.

She exhales a breath of air. "I did it. I won." She turns to Ogunn with a delighted expression. "Teacher!!"

She watched her teacher dodge an attack and place pressure on one side of Torezahn's jaw with the end of his palm and ghe knee the other side. His jaw starts to dangle as its now dislocated and fractured.

"Aaagh!!" Torezahn steps back while holding his jaw.

"Congratulations on your victory, Biest." He was still facing the opponent even in their damaged state. "Now that this is settled." His hand gripped the rhroat of the damaged beastkin. "Take your men back to your stronghold and tell your boss. If you want to end with Biest, wait until the day of the duel or else you and your people will be paid a visit by me." He snaps the man's jaw back in place and drops him.

The decrepit man shook in their boots and ran over to grab his men.

"Teacher, should we really let them live?" She asked.

He turns to Biest. "Mercy is a virtue, Biest. Sometimes killing only makes things more complicated." He guides her along a path. "It could lead to an unnecessary cycle of hatred. One that would not end until either side is satified with the death of the other side. But that does not fix the problem at hand." He picks two fruits off a tree and tosses one to Biest. "Only death will follow the two sides. Casualties building up like ant hills. So the annihilation of a foe isn't inherently the right thing to do."

(He's so wise.) She thought.

"Now, I believe you used my fighting style when you were beating those dudes. Beautiful technique." He compliments.

"I just remembered how you were using it when we first met and tried it out." She smiled brightly.

"Well you did a great job. Lets go back to training."

They reached an area that was no longer covered in trees yet was considered apart of the forest still. A pseudo-mountain was seen from afar with a waterfall washing down into a lake.

Biest and Ogunn were running across the area until a large boulder came their way. Ogunn leaped over it. Biest's toe rubs against the boulder's surface. The slice traversed the boulder, dividing it in two.

He lands on top of the sliced boulder. "Who's it this time?" A large object, encompassing the area seemingly was shot from the mountain top. Around 50 meters in diameter.

"Another boulder." Biest leaped up toward it and twist her body 180°. She delivers a kick to the boulder and reduces it to dust.

"So we can't even find somewhere lay our heads in peace now?" He sighed.

"They are only throwing boulders, Teacher. We can just keep running for now." Biest suggested.

"Right, boulders hold no threat to us." They said this, a pack of boulders rained down on them. "But, this is annoying. Biest, follow me." He leapt from the ground and landed on a flying boulder. The two jumped from each airborne boulder using the <Light Step Technique>.

"That should send them packing." A man with large ears and an enormous muscular stature scoffed with his arms crossing his chest. He was known as Zhen Wushi. He had silvery colored hair on his head that was connected to the hair on his jaw. In fact, even his back was filled with hair all the way to his ankles.

"Wait, sir." A man of a smaller size grabs his attention.

"Huh? What is it?" Zhen Wushi looked down at the young chimp.

"I don't see them running?" He said.

"Heh, so they decided to stay instead of running with their tails between their legs?" Zhen remarked.

"Why would I run from a hill of ants?" Standing behind Zhen was Ogunn and Biest.

It shocked everyone there.
