CHAP 46: Date

I got up, and off my room. It's almost time for dinner, and since i want to talk with Olivia privately, i'll invite her to go to a restaurant with me. I hope the other girls don't feel jealous, or i'll have to go on a "date" with them as well, and i don't think i have the patience for that. Really, i wonder if having confidants is worth the trouble. Maybe i should kill them? I've managed alone my whole life. No, no, that won't do, hurting your own possessions is hurting yourself.

An sudden headache came to me. I've been noticing i'm getting more uncontrolled recently, did that virus on the Dungeon fuck my head up? Maybe it's a side effect of reincarnating, since it has been happening since that. The Game never mentioned anything like that, but i wonder if it would, or if it knows about this at all.

'Hey, is becoming crazy normal after reincarnation?'

Hmm, i don't think this is becoming "truer to myself" or "feeling unrestrained", and i've always been kinda megalomaniac. No use thinking about this at the moment, something that manages to make me have an headache in my current body probably isn't caused by something normal. She got up and i sat down on her place.

I said as i pushed her hands off and leaned back on the sofa.

This time, it was Samantha who asked.

"If i could tell you, it wouldn't be private, would it?"

She understood. I patted her head, she is really cute, even if she almost made me get killed in my sleep by two crazy women. Olivia left her room, with an dark purple mini dress, she looked beautiful. I got up and took her by the hand.

"We're leaving, expect us to be back at 9."

When we got to the elevator, i looked at her.

"I have to say, that dress really suits you."

When we got out of the building, she looked up, her eyes shining. I let her appreciate the view, Tokyo is very beautiful, even with all its corruption.

"You didn't see the view yesterday?"

"No, when i got at our new home, i immediately went to sleep. This city really is beautiful, even more than Kansai."

"Aren't you surprised?"

I have to teach those woman about those terms, and get them some chrome, but i think i'll do the procedure myself, which means i'll have to do some dealings and learn some new things, then i'll become an ripperdoc, maybe do some custom cyberware. Those AI-driven taxis are very handy, apparently an Japanese company saw the success of the Delamain Corporation on Night City, and made an version of themselves, the company isn't ran by AIs, and these taxis are all-around Japan, their taxis are supposedly more safe, but i am not sure about that.

We were in front of an very refined restaurant, it was expensive, but apparently the food was good, and it offered private tables. I had did an bit of my magic and arranged us an reservation, with an private table as well.

"Hello, mister and mistress, may i see your reservation?"

I sent my reservation file to the lady.

"Mr. Greyston, let me guide you to your table."

We followed the receptionist, and when we got to our table, i was confused.

"When you want to make your order, press the table's terminal and one of our waiters will come and take it, the menu is on the terminal as well. Please enjoy."

I pulled the seat for Olivia and sat as well. An black window appeared around us, sound didn't pass through it, it was see through from our side and fully black from the other one. This would be an exhibitionist's paradise, since there was basically no chance on getting caught. I don't doubt it is, in fact.

"I've never been in this kind of restaurant. How much money did you waste on this?"

Olivia asked me

"It isn't a waste, and it's not like we're poor."

"We could talk at home, you know?"

"We could, but i thought you would want to go out on an date?"

"I would, but this doesn't feel genuine."

"I understand how you feel, but i don't think we would have real alone time back at home. I need to install some sound-proof walls between the rooms."

"Did you and Doctor do it?"

"Me and Samantha? We've only known ourselves for 4 days."

"Yes, but she seems like that kind of woman."

I did as i said, and we talked about nothing in particular, waiting for the food to arrive. It arrived, and i must say, it was good. We talked an bit while eating, and i paid and we left. We took an taxi back. While we walked back, Olivia sat on an bench on the park in front of our apartment.

"I always liked nature."

She said.

"Yes, it is calming, it is where we belong, after all. Sadly, nature is slowly being killed by our actions."

"But we still preserve it in parks like this."

"Yes, it is in human nature to cage things."

She took my face and kissed me deeply, got up and left rapidly to our home. If that is the case, i'm going to Shinjuku, get some work done.
