CHAP 16: The Shinkansen

The Shinkansen was greater than i expected, Umbrella really wants to give an "divine" feeling to Kanto, i suppose making yourself "god" for your experiments is good for control, not like i was much different in my past life, the best of control is the one achieved by making people either love you, or making it seem as if they can't go against you. Hacker started programming one of the cargo boxes, but an alarm soared suddenly and an bunch of guards started coming from all of the doors. The terminal Hacker was working on deactivated itself, and we started getting shot. The cargo terminal was an room made of mostly glass, but there were some desks we could get cover on.

"Fuck, plan B it is."

I pulled out the egg-like device Cat had taken from one of the cargo boxes inside the truck, saying it was for an secondary plan, and pressed the button on top of it. The lights started going out, an EMP? Smart, the robots started failing, some of them shut down but others simply shot everywhere. Hacker flew between the bullets, getting hit in one of this legs, but managed to get behind one of the desks. I looked at the train from behind cover, and the cargo had started to get put inside, the one which we had taken the EMP device from was the one we put last and the one Hacker was changing measurements in.

"Brawler, can you push the desk in the direction of the one Hacker's behind?"

"Sure can, friend."

He started pushing it, with me and Doctor following kneeling behind cover. When we got close to Hacker, Doctor started providing first-aid to his leg.

"Did you manage to change the weight ?"

"I managed to change it, but not to the one planned, i didn't manage to put an zero before the system deactivated, but managed to input the code atleast."

"What is the weight then?"

"55 kilos, i weighed courier and his bike and they weighed 550 kilos."

"How much do you weigh? I know i weigh more."

"I weigh less."

"Fuck. And you, Doctor?"

"Don't ask an lady her weight, but i weigh more than that."

"I'm sure Brawler weighs more. So our hopes rest on Cutthroat or my disciple, but they are on the other side of the station, and we have about 9 minutes until Shinkansen leaves. The alarm has already soared, so killing is allowed, so it means we have to go wild."

I pulled out my gun, reloading, Doctor had finished patching up Hacker and his drones entered the attack mode. Doctor didn't exactly have an way of attacking but she pulled out some of her "potions" and threw them at the direction of the guards, which made them cough, asphixiate or be knocked out, Brawler took one of the desks as shield, i got up and started shooting at the guards. The accuracy i acquired from my old life, combined with the experience i acquired from Death, made me grow accostumated to the Collector's weight and recoil rapidly, and i rapidly started getting more accurate, hitting mostly headshots or hitting the torso of the guards. There seemed to be an very big amount of guards at the station, Brawler was destroying the bots and some of the guards, the gas from Doctor killed some of them and helped me hit them since they were immobilized. Cutthroat was going ham on the guards ever since i was hit in the arm, it hurt an bit, but i would get over it, Olivia was hiding behind one of the desks. After i believe 4 minutes, the guards stopped coming. Olivia was very unstable, but she seemed to be trying to control herself, i'll make sure to pamper her when we are in a more peaceful setting. I helped her out of the cover she was hiding in, an panic room, and made sure to hug her.

"Weird question, how much do you weigh?"

"55 kilos, why?"

"We may need your help to get inside the train."

"Why me? I'm sure the Akudama are capable of doing it themselves."

"Don't look down upon yourself, Olivia. You're talented, we just need to touch upon that talent. Anyways, Hacker changed the weight in the system to 55 kilos, and you're the only one out of us who weighs exactly that."

"So you need me because of an coincidence?"

Fuck, this girl really has an low self-esteem, i'll need to change that.

"Don't take it that way, please, i need your help."

She seemed down, so i hugged her more firmly.

"I never told you, but i believe Kanto is behind the death of my parents, this is the first lead i have in a very long time, i need you, please."

I'm not exactly lying, i really need to do this heist. If it atleast make her feel better about herself, i see no problem in lying.

"Okay then, i'll do it."

I already asked Cutthroat, if you're wondering, and she weighs less than needed. I took Olivia by the hand, and helped her inside the cargo box and closed it. The box started going up and successfully passed through the plasma barrier, in, i believe, 30 seconds, the barrier fell, Courier arrived in that moment, and entered the train, we entered as well. the cargo compartment of the train was full of boxes, technology built at the Kyushu Plant to send to Umbrella. As the train started leaving, the women executioner entered the train and stabbed Brawler from behind, and he fell forward.
