As Sara rolled out of bed she noticed that even waking up early wasn't enough to beat Sean out of bed. When she walked downstairs she saw Sean sitting on the living room couch, reading one of his foreign papers. She turned on the TV to see the morning news. Shortly after the weather the breaking news blared on the tv. "In today's breaking news: Hayes Entertainment has filed for bankruptcy as more reports of illegal deals happen. Also has Superstar Samantha Hayes been doing drugs and other illegal activities behind the scenes. Current reports and photos that came out last night suggest this. More to come after the break." Sara turned off the TV before looking at Sean, "No news of your activities last night." Sean folded the paper in his hands before responding, "if there is one thing the news is more afraid of than me, it's the fact that there is someone out there who will eliminate them without hesitation. So once again they wouldn't dare publish it. Also I believe the police will want to keep the fact of the number of people killed last night out of the papers. That would not look good for them."
"Hmmm" Sara hummed as she walked to the kitchen. Sean quickly followed before hearing her ask, "So know that you're no longer chairman what will you do with your days?" Sean chuckled before responding, "Well first credentials and logins needs to be passed on to you. Then a security detail will have to be chosen. I can't risk the men Frank has selected, to protect you publicly. They can stay in the shadows, as they have not so squeaky clean pasts. Though you need a security detail that can be seen in public. So I have to handpick the best of the best and then train them more." Sara laughed as she got thing things ready for breakfast, "by the way where is the staff? I haven't seen any of them."
"Vacation. We were supposed to stay at my parents for a week so I gave them time off. Then end of next week we should be moving." Sara froze as she listened. "Next week, so soon? I haven't even had time to unpack the stuff from my house yet." Sean smiled at her hesitation, "we've been pretty busy and it doesn't look like it'll slow down anytime soon. When we get through this it'll all be worth it." Sara set down the things in her hands, looking at Sean. As her eyes began to water, Sean immediately ran over and hugged her. "Don't cry honey, what's wrong?" Sara shook her head as she leaned against Sean. After a while in Sean's embrace, she finally spoke, "where did you come from. Your always putting me first and paving a clear path for me to shine. No other boyfriend did that." Sean smiled before responding, "That's because I'm your husband, this is my duty. Anytime you need something don't hesitate to ask." Sara nodded as he let go of her. Suddenly her phone rang. After answering it Sara turned to Sean, "I need to go to the office." Sean only nodded as Sara headed upstairs to get ready.
After seeing her leave, Sean's golden eyes darkened as he pulled out his phone. Walking into the study he pulled a file out of the top draw of the desk. Sean looked at the file before finally calling someone. When the phone was finally answered, Sean's icy voice rang out, "John you're slipping up. There is no past relationship section on this file." John looked at his phone to make sure the number he answered was correct, "I'll have it to you by the end of day today" Sean hung up before calling another person, "Miranda I need you to come over to my house today at the earliest time." Then promptly hanging up. After a while the doorbell rang. Sean opened the door to let Miranda in before sitting on the couch. Miranda took a seat on another couch before Sean spoke, "tell me about Sara's exes."
Across the city....
Frank pulled the car up to the entrance of Dearborn. Sara looked out the window before asking him, "what happened to using the private entrance from yesterday?" Frank looked up before responding, "It's your first official day in the office, the press is actually waiting and the staff is as well." Sara nodded before taking a deep breath and looking out the door again, "I'm ready." She stated as her eyes turned icy blue. Walking out of the car the press took photos and asked questions but Sara ignored all of them and followed the group of bodyguards lining the barriers from her and the press. When she finally entered the building the staff was all there looking at her. In unison they all greeted, "Good morning Chairwoman Sara." Sara nodded and gave a small smile before walking to the private elevator. After entering she finally let out her sigh as the doors closed. Entering her new office, she looked at the two woman waiting for her in the office. "Kimberly and Janice, what is so important to pull me into the office on the weekend?" The two ladies looked at each other before Kimberly finally spoke up, "Greenfield pulled out of their agreement last night due to the issues of our data breach." Sara nodded before responding, "let's complete all current agreements with them and then freeze them out for 6 months. Assimilate the Henson's and let's look into an acquisition of the Hayes."
"Ma'am the previous chairman said we would never go into the entertainment business." Sara looked at the other woman talking before coldly responding, "we aren't. The Hayes owns property around the world for movies and commercials, their home office is a good place to merge under the new Henson Corporation, also their design department can merge with our current one and improve on it." The women nodded before Sara continued, " let's take what contracts we have to and see who we can offload them to. Kimberley do you have the report I asked for?" Kimberley pulled out a stack of papers handing them to Sara before asking, "why did you want our research department files?"
"The Henson's were put up to this by either someone who wants to harm Sean or harm Dearborn. Not in a short term they want to cripple whatever there target is. What better way than to release our upcoming products before we complete them. All of our newest projects need to be reviewed and we need to look into our cyber security. Also inform Manser and Camilla to do the same. I feel this is the start of something bigger and we need to shore up what we can." Sara stated before standing up to leave. "Yes ma'am" the two women stated in unison before watching Sara leave the office. "Isn't she to forward thinking, how does she come up to these conclusions?" Janice stated to Kimberley. Kimberley only watched the woman leave unable to answer the question.
