CHAPTER 62: DRUGGED (4)

Adriana was talking to her friends when she heard that Charles Powell has come, she hurriedly turn her back to see him but she also saw Eve with him and she became angry.

"Why is she here with Charles?" 

"What does she have or what relationship does she have with Charles that she is his date!" 

What an annoying pest!

Can't she stop appearing before me only to annoy me.

Adriana had thought all kinds of bad thoughts but decided to calm down so as to not ruin their plan.

Eve sat next to Charlie and later they were approached by her uncle, his wife and daughter.

"Hello Mr Charles" George puts his hand forward for a handshake, Charles thought for a while but decided to receive the handshake.

"Hello Mr George" Charlie said shaking his hand.

George is happy that Charles received his handshake. Shaking the Charles would add to his reputation as someone who was able to shake Charlie and because of that people would respect him more.

"We also invited your father but why is he not here with you?" George asked.

"He is busy so he asked me to represent him since am also invited" Charlie said.

"Oh.. okay in that case you are welcome to my party and it is an honor to have the son and CEO of JK corporation come to my birthday party" George said smiling from ear to ear.

"Thank you for having me" Charlie said sarcastically but it was not very obvious but Eve knew he did not mean what he said.

"So Mr Charles this is my wife, Sofia" George introduced his wife who smiled and said;

"Hello Mr Charles, thank you for gracing this event" Sofia said.

"And this is my beautiful daughter, Adriana" George also introduced his daughter and did not fail to stress the word beautiful to the hearing of Charlie.

"Hello Charles" Adriana said smiling without failing to portray a innocent, kind and gentle girl personality in front of Charlie.

"Hello Mrs Sofia and miss Adriana" Charlie answered with his facial showing indifference.

Eve smirked at the behavior Adriana is displaying in front of Charlie.

Is she trying to impress Charlie? Heh" Eve thought.

"Don't even think of eyeing my husband!" Eve said murmuring but was heard by Charlie who chuckled.

"Mr Charles what is making you to laugh?" George asked.

"Nothing, I remembered something funny" Charlie said.

"Oh.. then enjoy the party" George said bowing down and left while Adriana went to sit beside Charlie on his left hand side.

Later into the party George addressed the guests and after he was done he invited Charlie to say a few things. Charlie stood up and calls Eve to go to the stage with him.

Adriana used this as an opportunity to slip the drug into Eve and Charlie's drink. She looks around and when she confirmed that nobody is looking her she put the drug in their drink and pretended as like nothing happened.
