Chloe was enjoying the pleasant morning air as she watched the landscape pass by outside the car. Evan was driving to the airport, where he said they would board his private jet and head towards the island where the family reunion was to take place.

Family. She was going to meet his family. What would they think of her? Were they as cold and distant as most rich people were? What if they found out that this was all a plan?

Too many questions without answers and Chloe was getting more nervous at each step closer to that holiday.

“Is everything ok, Chloe?” Evan glanced at her quickly.

“Yes.” she shook her head and replied to him.

“Don’t worry too much, darling. They are cool.” he held her hand and that action took Chloe by surprise. “You just need to be careful with my mom.”

That statement made Chloe look at him in despair. He gave an embarrassed smile.

“Moms, you know.” he completed.
