With a quick movement Laura dropped herself on Austin's lap while moving her hand to cover her husband's mouth with a panicked face.
"Hmmm..."
"Are you crazy?" Laura growled warningly. "You want to reveal your identity to Reagan by expecting your daughter to bear his child? Do you want Reagan to be even more rude to you? Are you ready to be kicked out of this mansion if Reagan finds out that you are not related by blood to the West family?"
Austin gasped, his eyes wide open. He had almost forgotten the main problem they had been keeping from Reagan or their only daughter Ariel.
"Reagan would be furious when he found out your true identity given the amount of trouble you've given him over the years, Reagan definitely wouldn't have thought twice about getting rid of you once he found out a secret about you, about us," Laura said back. "If you have indeed prepared a luxurious house like the West family home for us then do it, tell Ariel all our secrets so that Ariel can freely approach Reagan. But if you have not succeeded in building a palace for us then don't ever try to reveal your secret to Ariel or Reagan , because I don't want to live poor. I still want to enjoy this luxury for another hundred years," Laura added again, her breath sounding heavy as she spoke.
Austin slowly lowered Laura's hand from her face.
"I'm sorry,"
Laura straightened up. "And don't talk about this kind of thing again outside our room, you know that the walls of this house have ears?"
Austin nodded slowly.
"Good, now help me coax Ariel out of her room. I'm afraid Ariel will do something reckless, the child must be very devastated by the news of Reagan's sudden marriage," Laura said again in a hoarse voice, her eyes welling with tears as she spoke. Laura knows Ariel's feelings for Reagan, so she knows that Ariel is currently heartbroken.
"I understand."
"Tonight we will take care of Ariel and tomorrow it will be the turn of the girl named Crystal," said Laura again. "I feel there is something strange about that girl."
Austin did not respond to his wife's words because he had shifted his focus to Ariel who was still locked in her room. Austin, who is so eager to control the West family property may appear as a strict and cold man out there, but when he is with his wife, Austin's attitude will change 180 degrees. Austin's past mistakes, which had tricked Laura into marrying him, were what made Austin succumb more when he was with her, although it did not eliminate all of his bad qualities as a whole.
Laura, who comes from a fairly well-known family in Ireland, was forced to swallow disappointment when she found out Austin's true identity, Laura did not think that the man she married was only the adopted son of the West family who most likely would not get an inheritance. That's why she's desperately trying to support Austin's efforts to bring down Reagan in order to gain free control of the West family property. And now it wasn't just Reagan she had to get rid of, there was a new person on Laura's blacklist and that person was Crystal, Reagan's wife.

"S-so we will sleep in the same room?" Crystal asked frantically, cold sweat starting to roll down her paper-white face.
"Yes."
"But didn't we..."
"Don't worry, I've got everything ready," Reagan said casually. "Come with me to the main room
Crystal frowned at Reagan's words, the large room in front of her at this time turned out to be not the room Reagan meant. Even though where she was standing there was already a large bed that could accommodate two adults sleeping simultaneously.-
"So this isn't a bedroom?" Crystal asked again confusedly as she followed Reagan's steps into a room.
Reagan shook his head. "Nope, it's just the bed I used to use when I played games with Jarvis when we were tired from work."
Crystal immediately stopped her steps, she slowly turned her head towards the big bed she had just seen before. Her chest immediately felt tight hearing Reagan's explanation, how can such a big and comfortable bed only be used for playing games? Crystal really can't understand the mindset of rich people.
"What are you doing there? Come in quickly!!"
"Ah yes," Crystal answered hoarsely, Crystal immediately continued her steps following Reagan who had arrived at the actual bedroom. The room Reagan used to sleep.
Crystal really couldn't hide her surprise at this time, seeing how The size and splendor of Reagan's bedroom made Crystal feel even smaller. The room that was now Reagan's bedroom was the same size as Mrs Lu's restaurant, where Crystal had previously worked.
"You sleep on that sofa bed," Reagan said guiltily, pointing a black sofa which was not far from the bed. "And you are forbidden to approach, let alone touch the bed. That bed is my bed and I don't want you to stain it."
"I-I'm not going to touch yours." Crystal's face turned red as she spoke. "Who's going to touch your bed anyway, I'm not that brave to do it.
" Self-aware, you are strictly forbidden to touch my personal belongings in this room, including my bed. If only I could, I would love to sleep in a different room with you, but because our status is now husband and wife and I don't want to make people suspicious so I have to share a room with you," Reagan said back in a disapproving voice.
Crystal lowered her head, the words that escaped Reagan's lips pierced her heart.
"As well as the bathroom, you are not allowed to touch any of my toiletries. I'm a person who really doesn't like sharing my personal stuff with other people, remember that well," Reagan added haughtily. "Now go to the bathroom, clean yourself up and hurry to bed. Tomorrow morning you have to go with my grandpa, I don't want my grandpa to be mad at me for making you wake up late."
"I understand," Crystal answered quietly.
Reagan took a deep breath, spending hours with Crystal made him start to feel sick. Without thinking, Reagan let go of the wedding ring wrapped around his ring finger and placed it without hesitation on the table before finally rushing to his walk-in closet to change clothes, leaving Crystal still bowing silently.
The tears that Crystal had been holding back since entering the room finally streamed down her face after Reagan disappeared behind the walk in closet.
"You will definitely get through this, you've been through tougher times than this." Crystal touched her left chest that felt tight. "Even now you can definitely go through it again."
