Alex's POV:
Never in my life did I expect to see my mom here or anywhere else because she was on the private island with Lydia; that only meant she didn't want to be found.
I cleared my throat and gathered my emotions. "How can I help you?" I asked, and she had a confused look.
"Alexander," she called before taking a step forward, and I quickly took a step backward.
"Are you excited to see me? I am your mom."
"If you have nothing to say, then leave. People actually work here," I hissed with an emotionless tone.
"I own this company."
"Do you?" I raised a brow, and she looked down nervously. "I thought as much, so lead yourself out." After that, I left the lounge and took the elevator to the office.
While in the elevator, I clenched my fist angrily and kicked the wall. Then I quickly dialed my father's number.
"Alex," he called once it got connected.
