Chapter 16 : Something to Say

Mia is straightening a painting in the foyer when Elon comes behind her, stopping only long enough to say, “Meet me in my study when you have a moment, I have something to say,” before walking off again.

Mia smiles at his back as he walks away. Ever since their trip, Mia has been wanting to tell Elon that she loves him, but she refuses to be the first one to do so. She knows that she has to stay at least a little coy about her feelings with Elon, mostly for her own sanity, but she really just wants to hear him say it first.

She’s adjusting well to being back at work, but she can’t deny that she can’t exactly control her facial expressions whenever she sees Elon. In all fairness though, how is she supposed to go back to completely normal after sleeping in the same bed with him for an entire week?
