This was a far cry from the Wanli Town in Chi Yue's memory.
The newly constructed houses, under a unified planning and layout, were orderly, clean, and tidy. Their external walls were mostly painted the same shade of desert color, with clusters of green plants peeking out from the top of the walls, exuding vibrancy and life.
Unlike other buildings elsewhere, the houses in Wanli Town had specially designed ventilation ports that prevented the entry of sand while allowing cool breeze to enter, preventing the interior from getting too hot.
On the streets, strangers from other places could be seen everywhere, walking through the town. The last rays of the sunset cast a glow on their smiling faces, giving Chi Yue a sense of memory disorientation.
"This isn't Wanli Town, is it?" she asked Qiao Dongyang eagerly, a mix of nervousness and excitement in her voice.
Even though she had an idea in her mind, she wanted his further confirmation.
