This was another moment of revelation for the girl. She was so used to getting pampered and enjoying the riches of her life, and receiving enormous love and respect, that she never realised that life was not the same for everybody. Something as little as a birthday cake could be a dream even for a well- to - do boy like Jack. The girl was realizing how blessed she was and how easily she mocked about being poor for not having new dresses for a day. 

"Why are you crying Eva?" Jack wiped away her tear and frowned in confusion. 

"It is nothing Jack. Nothing." The girl blinked her eyes several times and smiled. "And what was your other wish?"
