I am angry

I watched xender leave through the door with a frown in between my brows. I couldn't help but feel really caged down and that, was something I wasn't going to accept. Right, Xender Sterling really liked to show off his wealth, uh?

I knew what to do to him. I had such a great plan, and It was a double decker for me. I get to punish xender for all he had done to me and at the same time I could still escape this suffocating place.

How didn't I think of this all along?

A rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins. It was now or never – the perfect opportunity to set my escape plan into motion. My heart raced as I hurried to my room, my mind racing to assemble the pieces of my plan.

Scouring my room, I found an old notebook and a pen. With a trembling hand, I began to forge the words that would be the key to my freedom. I crafted a ransom note, carefully imitating the style I had seen in movies and television shows. My hands shook with a mixture of anxiety and excitement as I wrote, each stroke of the pen bringing me closer to freedom.

Once the note was complete, I read it over, satisfied with my work. It was simple yet effective, demanding a hefty sum in exchange for my safe return. I didn't forget to put my bank account number there. Of cause… he add to pay for keeping me here one way or the other, and I knew that Xander was a man of immense wealth, and the ransom amount would be within his means to pay.

I placed the note on the dining table, my heart pounding as I retreated to a hiding spot nearby. The seconds felt like hours as I waited, my ears straining for any sign of Xander's return. Every creak of the floorboards, every distant sound, sent shivers down my spine.

Finally, I heard the telltale sound of the front door opening. My heart raced as I held my breath, my eyes fixed on the entrance to the dining room. Xander's footsteps grew louder, and I knew that my fate was about to be known.

As he entered the dining room, his eyes fell upon the ransom note I had carefully placed on the table. For a brief moment, he froze, his expression a mix of surprise and concern. I watched with bated breath as he picked up the note, his eyes scanning the words I had penned.

I wanted to laugh out loud as his eyes widened at the last words written at the end of the ransom letter but I restrained myself. 'Pay the money as soon as possible. You fart-head!'

Then just below it was my account number.

He must have thought that that was the most insulting ransom letter ever, but he deserved it.

My heart pounded in my chest as I waited for his reaction. Crap. He wasn't moving to 'safe me' or anything but was merely staring at the letter as though reading over and over again. Would he fall for my ruse? Would he believe that I had been kidnapped and demand a ransom for my release?

I couldn't help the messy thoughts that were coming into my head as if I was found out, things might not be so pretty. But yay, he was soon, dropping the letter and grabbing his car keys as though planing to work on the 'pressing matter' at hand and Just as a triumphant smile began to creep onto my lips, disaster struck again. The fragile silence was shattered by the unmistakable sound of something knocking against a nearby object. Panic surged through me as I realized that I had accidentally knocked something over in my hiding spot.

I felt beyond scared, yes, petrified was the word– my heart sank as I heard Xander's footsteps approaching the source of the noise. It was a race against time, a desperate struggle to regain control of the situation.

My heart pounding, I scrambled to find a new hiding spot, but there was no escape. The seconds stretched into eternity as Xander's steps grew closer, his presence looming like a shade.

And then, he rounded the corner, his gaze locking onto mine. I froze, my heart in my throat, the fear and frustration evident in my wide-eyed expression. Xander's expression shifted from surprise to a knowing smirk, his eyes holding a glint of amusement.

"Fart-head, really?" he mused, his tone laced with mockery.

I swallowed hard, the weight of my failed plan crushing down on me. I had come so close to success, only to be thwarted at the last moment. My mind raced, searching for an explanation, a justification for my actions.

Xander's gaze remained fixed on me, his amusement evident as he folded his arms across his chest. "Trying to escape again?"

I clenched my jaw, my frustration boiling over. "I had to do something! I can't stay trapped here forever!"

He stepped closer, his gaze fixed on me. "And faking your own kidnapping was your brilliant idea?"

I stood my ground, refusing to back down. "I needed to make you see that I won't be your prisoner forever."

He chuckled, the sound sending a shiver down my spine. "You certainly know how to, I'll give you that."

"Afterall. You almost got a free cash balance into your bank account"

My face turned red on an instant, not knowing how to explain that I wasn't trying to dope him but punish him instead. He sighed after a while muttering to my dismay. "I've sent the money already"

I gritted. "I don't need your money!"

He looked almost confused as I glared at him, my anger bubbling to the surface. "I don't need anything from you. I just want you to leave me alone. You don't own me, Xander. I won't be manipulated or controlled by you."

He stepped closer, his eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that was both infuriating and unsettling. "You think this is about control?

"Come on."

"I think I've made my intentions very clear"

I took a step back, my resolve unshaken. "I don't want to have anything to do with you."

"Xander"

His gaze held mine for a long, tense moment before he finally spoke, his voice softer than before. "Amelia"

I gritted, walking past him and down to what has become my room in this neck-choking house. I looked back, he was still standing in the spot that I left him.

I walked inside the room, folding my arms angrily and stamping my feet beneath the ground. I sighed after a while, wondering what the hell I was going to do now, when my eyes fell to the silk-looking bed spread, I smirked.
