Chapter 2 - 5 years later

Over the next 5 years, The dragon clan had disappointing results at both of the Youth Martial Meetings. Since the last loss 1 year ago, there has been an invisible pressure over the entirety of the Dragon Clan. Every youth has been pushed to their absolute limits in order to stimulate their hidden potential. The elders of the Dragon Clan have asked the Emperor how to cope with the atmosphere and the Emperor doesn't seem worried about it.

The Emperor walked over to Luminous Courtyard and went to the training area where he saw Eira sparring with Crystal. Not to far away, Lumi and Luke were sitting down on the side talking about Eira's progress in the last 5 years.

After her rapid breakthroughs at the main palace, Eira spent 2 months stabilizing her cultivation and then brokethrough to the 4th stage. In 10 months She managed to breakthrough to the Pulse condescending realm. During this stage she began to absorb the spiritual energy around her into her mortal body and refine her veins. She spent 20 months in this realm before successfully condensing her spiritual energy into liquid form and breaking through to the Qi Refinement realm.

At this point, Eira also began training with her final weapon, the spear. This was the weapon she had seen her father using the most. This led to it becoming her main weapon. For the next 30 months, she spent most of her time training with her spear and Luke at this time also became a sparring partner. Crystal uses a sword, Eira's mother uses a dagger, And Luke uses a spear. Everyday, Eira would spar against them until she was exhausted. When she recovered enough to move around, she would demand for another session. All the way up until today. At this point in time, her cultivation has reached the peak of the Qi Refinement realm. Her cultivation by now has outstripped the other 10 year olds and she is capable of battling the 16 year olds of the same cultivation level.

There are 2 years and 3 months until the next Youth Martial Meeting. While Lumi and Luke were talking about Eira, they spotted their father walking towards them. "So how is Eira doing with her training?" Their father seemed very anxious to know the progress of his granddaughter.

"Take a look." Luke smiled and replied. Everyone turned to look at the arena and saw Eira and Crystal weaving around the arena.

When their father looked at the aura radiating off of crystal he was stunned and at this moment Eira gave a low roar and aimed her spear at Crystal's sprear as if she was challenging her. When Crystal saw this, she smiled and did the same thing. When the 2 spears collided, it sent a shock wave outwards and blew everyone's hair back. When the dust cleared out, they saw Eira and Crystal trying to push eachother back.

Crystal felt her blood boiling when she felt the force of that collision. "Eira, give me your strongest move then we will end our sparring session." After that Crystal and Eira jumped back 30 meters and began to build up their momentum. The aura coming off of Crystal was very heavy but not really surprising. What surprised everyone was Eira.

Eira crouched down a little and let out a low roar. With this shout, the aura slowly kept climbing up. Her hair flapped against the aura that was surging from her body. After a little while it was just as heavy as Crystal's and continued to climb. Crystal was surprised that her aura was being suppressed and unlocked her cultivation secretly. Her aura shot up by 2 levels and everyone saw this. "She's using more strength? Peak foundation building aura? Oh no!"

Luke and Lumi became alarmed and were about to stop the session when they felt Eira's aura climbed up to match her aura.

At this moment, Crystal took a step forward. The arena underneath her cracked as she launched herself forward. At the same time, Eira took one step forward and launched herself towards toward Crystal. Everyone suddenly felt heaven and earth energy surge towards the middle of the arena. At that moment, one of the aura's shot up and surpassed its original limit. When they collided, the whole arena sunk inwards and was basically destroyed. After the dust cleared out, they were surprised to see who won that exchange. In the middle of the arena, Eira was leaning against her spear to stay upright while Crystal looked at her spear fall apart with surprise. Eira's spear wasn't in good shape either. The spear looked like it could snap at any moment. Eira used her spear to support herself and turned around. While breathing heavily, she said. "I... won this... time. You... owe me... a new... weapon." After saying that, she passed out and began to fall face first, on to the arena.

"Eira won?" The Dragon Emperor was startled. He looked at Crystal as if he was trying to confirm something.

Crystal sighed. "She held back at the last moment and redirected her spear towards mine. At the same time, she sacrificed some of the momentum she built up. If she didn't hold back, I wasn't prepared so I would've been sent flying toward the wall with a hole in my shoulder. Its my loss." Everyone was stunned by what she just said. She held back? Everyone looked at Eira's exhausted figure on the arena as if she was a monster. It was then when they noticed something different.

"She broke through?" Crystal was shocked but she then looked at everyone behind her and saw everyone's expression change.

"10 year old foundation building realm cultivator?" The Dragon Emperor was in a daze. He then began to laugh madly. Everyone including Eira who had just woken up looked at this man as if he had gone insane.

"Father?" Lumi and Luke called out to their father at the same time.

At this time, Eira stood up while propping herself up and looked at her grandfather.

"Grandfather?" Eira smiled and limped over. S Her grandfather noticing this went over to her and picked her up.

"You're a cultivating genius!" He then put her down gently and told Luke to get the healing and restoration pills.

After Eira ate her pills. Crystal came over. "That was a new move. If you didn't switch your target from my shoulder to my spear, I would have a hole in my shoulder."

"Hehehe... a hole?" Eira laughs and everyone looks at her. "How many pieces did your spear get cut into?" Eira asked.

Crystal was confused and so was everyone else. She still answered. "7, why?"

"Heheheh... Thats how many pieces of your arm we would have to pick up if I didn't redirect my attack." No one replied for a long time. Crystal realized that she got off easily and If Eira wanted to, she could ruin her. Thinking of it made her back sweat. Everyone looked at Eira with disbelief.

"Even I only saw you move your spear once. How did you accomplish this?" The Dragon Emperor said something very alarming.

Luke and Lumi looked at eachother and looked at Eira with inquiring eyes. Crystal also wanted to know how I accomplished this.

"Do you guys remember when you allowed me to got to the Martial Pavilion 5 months ago and I chose a jade slip that had no title?" Everyone nodded and I continued. "When I peaked inside of the jade slip it was actually about a cultivator's experience with the laws of the universe. 4 weeks ago, I had finally comprehended some things about wind and space laws. I focused these two because I realized that compared to swords and sabers, the spear has the biggest disadvantage in speed. With these 2 laws working together, this disadvantage becomes nothing to me."

"You... comprehended space laws?" Everyone felt like this child was a demon. They felt their confidence being crushed when they looked at her.

"I only touched the boundary of comprehension. At most, I can reach you through the void. I still can't use my body to travel through the void yet. Once I am stronger, I will attempt it. That attack exhausted all of my spiritual energy, so I will go and rest." After saying her piece, Eira bid everyone farewell and left the training room.

Everyone behind her was dumbfounded as they watched her drag her tired body out the room.

"She... comprehended 2 laws?" Luke felt like his niece was an old soul from thousands of years ago.

"How did she comprehended it so fast? She said she only comprehended it a month ago and she can already incorporate it into he attacks. Father, do you know of any youths in the great clans that have comprehended laws or concepts?" Crystal asked her father.

When the Dragon Emperor heard his daughter ask this question, he began to laugh madly. "That old dog from the ancient phoenix clan never thought this day would come! His grandson anounced that he comprehended the laws of wind last year and it created waves on our star plane. What he never would have expected is that my granddaughter is way more talented than his grandson ever will be. Hahahaha..." While he was laughing, he thought of something and calmed down. "Let's keep this a secret for now. If any leaks news of Eira comprehending space laws, they shall be executed on the spot! Heheheh, I want to see that old dog's face when my granddaughter takes the stage at the Youth Martial Meeting in 2 years. Hahahah..." Everyone in the room looked at this man like he was mad and vowed not to let this news leak.

While they were deliberating over this, Eira went back to her room and sat down on her bed to meditate. While she used her new move, she managed to get some insights on wind and space laws.

While she was comprehending her insights, Athena materialized in front of her. 2 years ago, After Eira broke into the Foundation building realm, Athena was able to come out of her spiritual sea and walk around. Of course, since their souls were linked, Athena could only be seen by Eira.

Athena was all smiles when she saw what Eira did. 'I didn't think you would understand the laws of space so fast. Even my Primal God race hasn't had a genius like you.' Athena sighed.

After 1 hour of meditation, Eira opened her eyes and met Athena looking at her with a smile. "Master!" Eira smiled and got off the bed.

"You can already apply laws into your attacks?" Athena asked.

Eira nodded. "I can but it takes alot of energy out of me to do this. I also can't control my energy output when using it. I will work on perfecting my technique so I can bring glory to my dragon clan in 2 years. This will also silence the people against me inside of my clan."

After saying this, Eira continues her training. Athena cultivation method allows Eira to cultivate her body, her essence, and her soul at the same time. This led to Eira have a very strong soul force for someone her age. With this, it allowed her to breakthrough faster while maintaining a perfect foundation.

Athena wants Eira to be a strong warrior not only on the Genesis Star but through out all of the realms.

After 2 hours, the door to Eira's room was knocked on. Athena noticed and quickly went back to Eira's spiritual sea.

"Come in." Crystal and Lumi walked into my room.

"Are you ready to get a new weapon?" Lumi asked her daughter with a smile.

"Yep, My old spear looks like its about done for." Eira took a look at her training spear. She had been using it for 3 years and felt a connection towards it. She collected her damaged spear and placed it in her space ring. "I'm ready, let's leave." Eira, Lumi and Crystal left the Luminous Courtyard and walked out of the palace grounds.
