Saturday's Practice

"Which one should we choose?" Thomas asked as he and Carl were standing at the counter displaying cakes. Julian assigned them to buy one since Peter had returned from the hospital.

Carl watched them one by one. It was a fruitcake. They decided to buy it but were confused about which size to choose. "It's for the team, right?"

"Yes. Who else do we buy it unless for them?"

If so, it should be a bigger one so that more people could enjoy it. "Here," he pointed at the cake he was referring to.

Thomas gave a nod of approval, and then he told the staff who was standing and waiting for their order. "This."

"I'll wrap it up. Please go to the cashier to pay for this."

So, they walked to the cashier.

"Let's buy something there." Thomas suddenly came up with an idea after the payment was made, and they waited for the cake to finish wrapping.

Carl turned to look in his direction. There was an ice cream cafe in front of the shop.
