The Catastrophe System
In 2030, an enormous earthquake ravaged the earth and the entire universe. It was not an ordinary earthquake. It was a universe collision, and the quake brought great destruction and chaos to the system. Carl, an 18-year-old, never wanted to be an inventor. He always wanted to be a doctor. No Giving Up
Carl paced in front of a building. In his hands were two books that were twenty centimeters thick.
Soon, Kate came out of the building and immediately approached him. "Carl," she called. Kate still looked stunning despite her fifty this year. "Thank you, dear, for coming and bringing them for me," she said after arriving in front of him.
"It's okay, mom. Class is over too." He handed her the books. "But mom, why do you still like reading books like these?" In the new system, life got easier. They did not need to read physical books because everything was connected to the server. So, books were so close to extinction.
"Sometimes I miss the old times." Then a wink was given to him.
He was almost the same age as the new system. Precisely, the extinction of the old system. So Kate might experience a transitional life and made her also share the old system.
