18 Li Chunhua's Dark Cooking Skills

The moment the Little Fox fainted, screens shimmering in golden lights appeared in front of everyone, signifying a global announcement, but this time it was not just one but two, and each was repeated three times and accompanied by rich rewards.

Li Chunhua choked when it saw its territory's name on the screen.

Oh…Oh…

[System Notification:

° Global Announcement: Congratulations to 'Anonymous' for being the first player to tame a familiar

- Rewarding 500 Earth points, a golden chest, and the exclusive title 'The First Beast Tamer'.]

[System Notification:

° Global Announcement: Congratulations to Salted Fish Territory for being the first territory to accept residents.

- Rewarding 500 Earth points, a golden chest, and the exclusive title 'The Pioneer Landowner'.]

Li Chunhua's worst fears had come true. Now, all the players will know her territory's name. She stopped munching on the pastry and stored it in her inventory.

Lowering her head as if she were ashamed, she turned to the little fox and found out that it actually slept on the dirty ground.

What happened to Mr. Fox?

She tried waking it up, but it appears to be in deep slumber. She had no choice but to carry the little fox and return to the territory.

However, now that her attention wasn't on the food, she was shocked to see the forest was gone and only grasses and some marks were left on the ground. Even the rock formations were destroyed, and on the remaining stone slabs were some dents in the shape of human faces.

With this expression, ԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ) it looks like a hungry ghost.

She approached it and imitated the expression on it, ԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ) before pressing her face on the dent.

And it actually fits so perfectly!

Smash-

Li Chunhua instantly destroyed these stone slabs, only leaving one to be stored in her inventory before sprinting towards her territory.

Upon arriving inside her home, Li Chunhua placed the little fox on the gold-grade kang bed since it was injured from her accidental spitting earlier.

As she began to observe more, she recalled that she didn't even know the name of the little fox.

She focused her gaze on it, and a system prompt appeared.

Li Chunhua clicked on the yes option.

LI Chunhua's eyes stuck on the three question marks.

How is she going to call Little Fox with that?

Li Chunhua tried tapping the question mark, hoping it was just some error, but the question mark didn't disappear, and instead another box popped.

[Does Player wish to name your familiar? This is optional.]

What? The little fox doesn't have a name yet.

Li Chunhua covered her mouth and casted the little fox a gaze filled with pity. Her childhood memories resurfaced in her mind when her master picked her up from the streets and gave her a name- Little Baozi.

Li Chunhua's eyes became moist, sympathizing with the little fox's unspoken circumstances. It promises itself that it will treat the little fox better. She wiped her tears before naming the little fox.

"Since Master called me Little Baozi, you'll be named Little Mantou."

The name on the familiar's window status was no longer questions mark but 'Little Mantou'. Li Chunhua was happy for her new little brother and went to the kitchen to cook food for him.

With such an important event in her little brother's life, she ought to celebrate.

Isn't it just cooking? I, Little Baozi, can do it too!

A few minutes later, there was a tiny explosion in the kitchen.

The little fox awoke to the sound of that and was surprised to find the scenery had changed. He was longer on the forest.

Boom-

The little fox jolted and quickly jumped out of the kang bed to trace the source of the noise. The kitchen was not far from the door of the bedroom. The little one instantly saw that black smoke was coming out of the gaps in one of the doors of the house.

It dashed towards it and pushed the door.

Li Chunhua opened the kitchen window and fanned the thick black smoke out of it.

Then she tossed more firewood on the stove until the flame almost engulfed the entire pot she had just synthesized.

Li Chunhua opened the lid of the pot and began tossing the ingredients inside.

250g of powdered pepper, 1 kg of salt, 1 liter of fresh spring water, 250g of cumin, 250 ml of chili oil, 1 L of vegetable oil, 1 kg of brown sugar, and whatever she could grab from her inventory before stirring the black bubbling soup, exuding a dark aura, and putting back the lid on.

A tiny explosion once again occurred, and the lid was thrown towards the ceiling and remained embedded there.

Li Chunhua only glanced at it before scooping the soup with a wooden ladle and filling up a bowl. She blew the thick smoke out, and they dispersed through the window before turning around. She was immediately surprised that the little fox had actually regained its consciousness. Li Chunhua smiled before walking towards it.

The fox saw the [-40] damage and gazed back at its master's figure. The little fox noticed its master's entire face and neck was black as soot, and even the hair on her scalp was standing up. On Master's hands was a bowl with a black aura seeping out of it, and it swore it could hear some ghosts howling from it.

Then Master smiled and gazed at him with an ominous intention.

"I cooked this for you. Have a taste."

From that moment on, the little fox regretted coming into the kitchen. It instantly bolted back towards the bedroom, but Li Chunhua caught it by the fats on its nape.

"No! I still want to live. Master, spare me!"

"What are you saying? I cooked this with love. Say, Ahh." Li Chunhua shoved a spoonful of soup in its mouth.

The little fox couldn't muster a struggle against Li Chunhua's monstrous stats.

When the spoon containing a portion of ghost-howling soup entered its mouth, the little fox heard a system notification.

[You have been poisoned by an unknown poison. You are advised to take antidote immediately.]

Poison!

(⊙_⊙;)

The little fox, for the second time, vomited blood, white foam and fainted in extreme anger.

Li Chunhua also heard it and was confused.

[Your familiar has been poisoned by an unknown poison. Your familiar is advised to take antidote immediately.]

"That's impossible. I didn't put any poison in it." She was distressed.

Li Chunhua tasted the soup, and a notification screen appeared in front of her.

[You have been poisoned.]

"I'm poisoned, but why don't I feel anything?" Li Chunhua focused and still felt nothing.

Is the little fox just exaggerating? She squatted down and check its worriedly.

She continued to wait for a few minutes before a notification screen once again appeared.

[You have gained the Dark Cooking Poison Immunity Passive Skill.]

(✿☉。☉)

What she gained a skill?

No wait, she needs to save Little Mantou!

(Little Mantou: I want medical compensation. I suffered in this chapter.

Little Baozi: I got a better solution. *showed the the pot of black bubbling soup to the little fox* If you eat a few more times you'll have a chance to gain Immunity as well.

A/N: *was about to hand money to the little fox, closed her purse* is that true?

Little Baozi: *Nods* []~( ̄▽ ̄)~*

Little Mantou: *looks at the two before sprinting* A bunch of crazy people!)
