20 Pack Run

Chapter 20

viLelouch's POV

Every member of the Noble Blood pack gathered in a wide clearing at the back of the packhouse; the hour has come for their run.

While waiting for their Alpha, a few werewolves were already shifted while most were not. And in the middle of their indistinctive chattering, there shifted Alexa—, her wolf stood majestically that whipped everyone's attention towards.

In awe, everyone around beheld the whitest of the wolves.

Reika stood magnificently before them—

... her eyes complimented the moon above,

... her fur was as white as the snow in the north,

... and her aura radiated more power she possesses than before.

And with grace, Addi walked towards his mate—

... his ash gray fur glowed in matched with Reika's,

... his heart beat a million feelings for the she-wolf,

... and his eyes held the most enamored being on earth.

The authoritative voice of Alpha Hanz calling for attention brought everyone out of their trance and before proceeding to give instructions, the alpha threw a meaningful grin to the love birds.

'hehe'

The pack was split in two. One composed of the newly shifted werewolves that needs tremendous guidance and control as they have the tendency to go berserk with their newly found strength; this being led by the Beta. And the other one was being led by the Alpha comprising other members of the pack.

After the Alpha's echoing howl, the two groups went into different direction for their run.

With the slowest wolves in front being protected by the stronger ones on the side, the pace has been set for the entire pack.

Following the formation, Reika settled in the rear and when she noticed Addi ran next to her with graceful strides, she grinned and matched her mate's stride with hers.

'ayiiiiee'

Lou could imagine vividly the possible face Alexa made with Reika's action and that brought a smile on her face.

Reika has always been forward with her intentions to Addi. Lou could not thank enough the wolf as she still has a serious pursuing to do with Alexa on that matter.

'tsk'

Also, the Alpha and Luna positioned themselves to the furthest end to oversee the entire pack from there.

The pack ran off smoothly, feeling the ground on their paws, the air on their fur, relishing the surge of power the moon has bestowed upon them but then— a young wolf abruptly stopped in the middle.

The other wolves behind collided with him making confusion in the front and to the rear.

Hearing the displeased growls of a few, the young wolf ran off to the east side, breaking the pack's formation.

"Continue, I'll get him," Reika mind linked the pack which the Alpha approved.

Running a faster speed to catch up with the young wolf, Reika snarled but void of anger to Addi who caught up with her.

~What are you doing?~

"To aid you," Addi mind linked back.

"I can handle this," Reika muttered.

"I know, I just don't want to pass every chance I could get to spend time with you."

'ayyyyiiiee'

In all honesty, Reika's stomach lurched from hearing those sweet baked words.

Sensing his mates reaction, Addi took a bold move: he closed their distance and slightly nudged the female wolf then stiffly ran ahead for several awkward leaps, wiggling more than necessary for teasing, then went back to his mate's side with a toothy grin.

The action sent Reika over the moon.

'awwwiiieeee'

Literally, love was in the air but the moment was brief as the grumpy Alexa bombarded her wolf about the matter at hand.

Giving in to Alexa, Reika reminded Addi.

"Of course," the male wolf conceded.

Seeing the young wolf ahead taking up faster pace, Reika challenged Addi in a flirty way.

"Keep up— baby," and there she took off.

The young he-wolf stopped a couple of meters from his pursuers, his legs haunched, baring his teeth and defensively growling to the figures in front of him.

Reika and Addi slowed down and took a cautious pace threading the foreign ground.

'yeah'

They had trespassed another territory.

Revealing themeselves out from the dark, there stood three warrior built wolves. The one in the front exudes more power than the other two; an Alpha.

The Alpha snarled in warning then growled with authority to the trespassers. His gaze landed on the young he-wolf who was baring his teeth while salivating like a mad dog.

The Alpha then took a step forward making Reika to snarl in warning too which made the two other wolves on the Alpha's side to cower.

The sound made the Alpha's attention to drift towards Reika. And without another sound, he shifted.

After putting on the robe he was carrying, he commanded the trespassers to shift as well.

After a brief of internal discussion, Addi moved forward and made his body to cover Reika as the wolf shifted. Like the Alpha, she also has a robe.

In this era of time, werewolves has improvised a way on how to carry their change of clothes in their wolf form. It's kind of a tool that's being attached on the leg and has proven efficient.

Not wavering, Alexa met the Alpha's gaze.

"Alexa Rohan of Noble Blood Pack," the girl introduced.

"Oh goddess, that's why," the Alpha exclaimed like he just got the answer of a mystery.

"I left the formation as soon as I sensed a powerful intruder and look who's here," he gestured for Alexa.

"And what's the heiress of the House of Rohan doing in my territory?"

A deep growl escaped from Addi not liking the tone of the man and the two wolves on the Alpha's side growled back with a stance.

"Pardon the intrusion Alpha Lemuel," Alexa apologized but unyielding.

"I was tasked to get that lost beast back to the packhouse not realizing we already had crossed the border."

"May you forgive and let us off this time."

There was a moment of silence and Lou break that when she took over Addi.

"What's there to think?"

"Let us off old man," Lou mind linked the Alpha.

Alpha Lemuel's eyes gradually went round in shock, "Holy, Louchiechie?"

"In—my— wolf," Lou confirmed.

The two could share a link through Lou's father's job. It seemed that, the father and daughter were affiliated wherever and whatever pack they had visited.

"Hey hey hey, wait—" the Alpha tried to stop Lou when she begun shifting.

"Why did you shifted?"

"I still have not taken a good look at your wolf," he complained.

Lou just laughed as she tied her robe then stood beside Alexa.

"Alpha Lemuel, meet my mate, Alexa."

The excitement on the Alpha's face faded in a matter of second. It was replaced with a doubtful and worried look.

"Oh," he uttered.

'hmmmm'

Such a few word to say for a supposed to be joyous news.

"Right, you can get your lost beast," he motioned to the young he-wolf, changing the subject.

"Now, how will you tame a wolf who lost every speck of rationality?"

Proudly, Lou stepped forward and petted the young he-wolf.

"Come now, we are going home," and with that, the wolf leaned in to her touch and went limp on the ground.
