"Eliot, are you in trouble?"
"The Ibut Lord Ameer wants to integrate the underground black market in the Ibut region. Three black market masters have already been killed."
"Old Isin has a dream that said that the Lord Ameer troops got some new weapons and equipment from god knows where. Moreover, the hiding places of the black market masters were somehow found, the black market masters and their followers were quickly killed and had their bodies hung on the gate towers in front of the town."
"Don't fret, not all the black market masters will be found."
With a grunt, biting on a piece of wood, a young Liberi man with orange hair pulled out the shrapnel embedded in his calf with tweezers. The intense pain distorted his originally handsome face, but he persisted in the end.
What motivated him to persevere was hatred.
"The black market masters will unite. Their information channels far exceed the imagination of the Ibut Lord Ameer. He will suffer a loss here."
"Hmmm…. From your face, you're not satisfied with just that."
Beside the young Liberi man was an elderly Savra (lizard) man. It's hard to imagine how old he really was, as if it wouldn't be surprising if he died the next moment.
"It's not the time yet."
The Liberi man was very calm. He knew that not even the combined strength of all of the black market masters was enough to overthrow a Lord Ameer. But he was well aware that all this was because of an encounter four years ago.
A crocodile man was rumored to have emerged from the Foehn Hotland, found the treasure left by the Khagan and his Nightzmora Legion a thousand years ago, and obtained an item that could make a whole nation go to war over in a night.
At that time, the Reefsteep Black Market Master wanted to learn the secret of the crocodile man and started a huge campaign to hunt the crocodile man, but he was torn apart by the Adakrys and thrown outside the town to feed the Sandworms. When the body was found, the only way to identify the Black Market Masters was through the jewelry on his body.
Thanks to this, the Reefsteep black market fell into a chaotic period lasting several years. After several changes of ownership, it finally fell into the hands of the Liberi man in front of him, Eliot.
Eliot had not fully integrated the underground forces of the Reefsteep black market. Today's attack was because Black Mamba, the previous Reefsteep Black Market Master, who had been a black market master for six months, made a final counterattack with his subordinates.
He needed to lie low for a while. The gathering of black market masters had nothing to do with him. If it weren't for the cowardice of the black market masters, he even suspected that the gathering was a trap set by Ibut Lord Ameer.
But maybe he was overthinking it. How could that old bastard, who was only interested in profit, be so cunning?
"Eliot, Old Isin dreamed that someone was inquiring about him, about the Sand Butcher's entry into the Hotland. It's not a secret anymore."
"Isin, that man swore that he wouldn't enter the Hotland again in the future. If he doesn't want to, no one can force him."
"But Eliot."
The elderly Savra looked at the Liberi man with his cloudy eyes.
"Oaths are meant to be broken."
"...Isin, did you dream of something?"
"Yes, Old Isin had a dream, but it's just Old Isin's dream..."
The old Savra's body began to tremble as he began to recount what he had seen with his own eyes and in his dreams.
"Old Isin dreamed that someone was building a city in the desert. He raised his arm, and the earth began to tremble. Walls made of sand rose in the desert..."
"He alone built a city, a city more splendid and prosperous than the legendary City of Gold... No, no, Old Isin shouldn't be so disrespectful."
"But, Old Isin's had dreamed once more..."
The tone of the old Savra became calm again, as if he could see a distant future.
"The Glory of Sargon will rise back, with the arrival of the golden eagle and the blood reptile, the Empire of the Golden Sand will cover the world of man."
Eliot looked at the old Savra and said after a long time, "Golden eagle and a blood reptile? I'm not sure about the golden eagle, but for the reptile, the person you dreamed of is Garde?"
"Old Isin doesn't know, Old Isin is too old. What he sees in his dreams will be forgotten soon after waking up."
The old Savra shook his head, his eyes occasionally becoming vacant, as if he were daydreaming or as if old age had made his brain slow and started to forget.
"It shouldn't be him."
Eliot muttered to himself.
"He doesn't even know Art."
But Eliot knew that this land was far more mysterious than he imagined. The so-called prophecy might not be false.
Old Isin's words prompted Eliot to use his resources to inquire about the teams looking for the Crocodile Man. One of them was a company from Columbia.
He used to be Columbian, and he used to take pride in being Columbian.
But betrayal in his youth left him with no good feelings left for the country.
From the information that he got, he learned that the company called Rhine Lab had recently encountered some trouble. The Ibut Lord Ameer blocked some essential supplies for Rhine Lab, and those items were now unavailable on the market.
And he happened to have stocked some of those items.
But Eliot didn't show up immediately because he didn't like Columbians, just like he despised the Sargons who had once conspired against his teacher and mercenaries.
If Rhine Lab couldn't find the Crocodile Man, he wouldn't show up. The Rhine Lab employees in Reefsteep had nothing to do with him.
But if the Crocodile Man really appeared...
"Rhine Lab, I know you're in trouble, and I can help you."
Eliot appeared in front of the temporary building rented by Rhine Lab.
...
"This underground black market Liberi, nicknamed as The Sand Soldier, Orba, have heard of this name?"
In the meeting room, Saria turned her head to ask. Because she went to Acahualla, all the information about the Ibut region was organized by Deputy Captain Orba.
"Yes, I've heard of him. It is said that he recently defeated the previous master of the Reefsteep Black Market and became the new Master of Reefsteep Black Market."
Orba paused, pondered for a moment and said.
"If we can't get supplies from Ibut Lord Ameer, then, as long as we don't change the location of our base, only the black market masters can help us."
"Of course, this's only possible if he's not afraid of offending the Ibut Lord Ameer, the de facto ruler of the Ibut region assigned by Sargon Padishah."
If they couldn't get help from the Ibut Lord Ameer in the Ibut region, then the only ones who could help Rhine Lab were the masters of the underground black market.
So, Rhine Lab didn't really have a choice.
Without much hesitation, Saria tapped on the table.
"Well then, let's see what this black market master wants to do."

Tn: Some clue about Azir in this chapter, whatever he would really come down to Terra or not is still unclear, the Raw hasn't reached that arc yet, but trace of Sumira did appear on Sargon, so there is a chance he, or at least, someone who felt like him, would come
