Putting The Pieces Together

FBI Special Agents Dan Winters

I have been seeing a lot of the same murders for the past few months. I am trying to get information from other jurisdictions to give me what I need to see if all these murders are the same. It's not that hard when I tell them that I think their murder goes with other murders that are taking place. Three people have been killed almost the same way and with the same calling card. Everyone thinks it's not that linked up, but I have worked on some serial killer cases. It is plain to see that there is a connection between all three of them. But others in this field see the diffracts, not the similarities. Every serial killer had some things that were different, but they always had the same calling card, or the victims have something in common. That is what I see. I had to convince the Director to let me investigate this. Had to tell him why I think they are related. Getting everything I could and presenting it. At least I was able to make my case, and the Director gave me the green light. All that is left to do is wait for the reports and pictures of any evidence that was collected. Looking over every news article I could find, of course, it will not have everything in them. But looking at the pictures of the victims, they all have brown hair and brown eyes. Feeling it in my gut that this is what he likes, a power and control, even a lust killer. I know it is a man because most woman don't kill that way. The sad part is, there will be more killings before we can catch him. Hopefully, he will mess up in some way so we can get some kind of clue as to who he is. It's not like the movies; more people will have to die before we can find this nut job. It would be easier if he did it in the same area. Getting faxes with the reports, getting them and sitting at my desk. Looking at the pictures of the victim's dead bodies. In the report, all three of the women had a bingo card in them. Looking at the pictures on the card, the numbers are different. Reading and rereading everything. It looks like the numbers circled are the dates of the murders. Need a break and some more coffee. Looking out the window, after seeing everything, I now know that it is a man. The women were sexually assaulted, but no evidence was left behind. But what does the bingo cards have to do with the victims? Taking a cigarette out of my pocket and a lighter, taking the cigarette to my mouth, the lighting it. Taking in a long drag and blowing it out. Trying to understand why his calling card is a bingo card. It must mean something, but what? Finishing the cigarette and going back to my desk, sitting down and looking at all the reports again. Picking up the phone and calling the Britt Iowa police. I asked what was on her phone any texts or messages that looked out of order. They told me no, just texts from her friends and family. They informed me about all the apps and games that was found on the phone. One stood out to me. Buster Bingo, after talking and getting as much as I could. I then called the other police departments, they all said the same thing, no threats, no one that wanted to hurt them. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. But one thing that has my guts turning. All the women had the same game, Buster Bingo. Writing down all this new information. Taking out my phone and going to the app store, looking up the bingo game. When it came up, I downloaded it. Is this game somehow involved? Is that why the killer leaves a bingo card as his calling card? After the dam thing was done downloading, I opened it. Hating every second of this intro or whatever it's called. "Come on dick of a game, let me look around to find anyone that is not acting normal. After ten fucking minutes I was able to get out of the bingo room. Looking the game over and why have some of the rooms locked? This game is pissing me off. Going back to the app store and reading what the reviews say. So far from what it looks like…I would have to pay real money. Getting out a form to turn in to my Director for funds. After filling it out and going and putting it on his desk. Going back to my desk and going back to the game. Going into the slot rooms, I think if the Director approves for the money I can find where the best place to find out what is going on in each room and watch how others act in here so I can try to be "normal." Well game normal. Playing a little bit in the bingo room, to get what they call gold, so I can go into the slot rooms. When I got enough, I left the bingo room and went into slots. Room hoping, it is full of adults that act like children. I feel like this is a babysitting place then a game. After five minutes I just wanted to slam my head on the desk. How do people think this is fun, setting the phone down before I chuck it across the room. Getting up and having a cigarette. I know the doctor told me to quit, but if I must be on that game, right now I don't care if the cigarettes will kill me. After some time and seven cigarettes later, I went back on the game. Spinning or whatever the hell it's called and just reading chat. Leaving rooms and entering new ones. Going into the next room Pillar Heist. This room is more like a zoo. People fighting, calling names. Belittling each other, but one thing I have noticed is there are two men in this room. It seems like they both have a fan club. Team Karl and team Randy, sad that all the women just throw themselves at them. So, if my hunch is right, it is one of them. Going in and out of rooms, never did I see this in them. Sure, I have more rooms to look at, but something is telling me it's one of them. I might ask for some help with this, have other agents in the rooms and watching. Just seeing the woman fighting each other because of these two men. Falling a sleep at my desk and waking up with a piece of paper stuck to my forehead. Ripping it off and looking around, I sleep more in my office then I do at home. The Director called me into his office, when I went in there, he handed me the thing I needed. I have full access to the game. Good then I don't have to have money.
