Turning the tables

'Who are you and what were you doing? ', questioned Ruby with her brown eyes narrowed, glaring at the blonde boy in front of her who scrambled on his feet.

'O-oh.. I-i am f-Felix', he stuttered due to the death glares Ruby was sending him.

Ruby is usually calm and polite but if someone invades her privacy she can become the complete opposite.

Mark learned this the hard way when he was 15.

(Author: if you want to know about the incident which made Mark learn about his cousin sister's love for privacy l,it will be explained in the end of this chapter.)

On the other hand Felix didn't want to be the little stuttering boy, he was the boy for whom girls will be willing to do anything and boys feared him never crossed his path. He quickly regained his usual egotistical and bold attitude.

'I was just passing by-', Ruby cut him of sarcastically.

'Oh yeah that's why you fell flat on the floor as soon as I opened the door right? '

'Will you let me complete my sentence? You are an impatient brat, you were cutting off your teacher too '

'You c-', this time Felix cut her off.

'I stopped due to your horrible playing, I wanted to give you a piece of my mind and tell that you suck at it . I pity your teacher, that poor woman has to listen to you play everyday.'

Ruby was shocked and looked at him with wide eyes. Her lips were opening and closing like a fish gasping for water. But nothing came out of her mouth she was in loss of words and was fuming with anger.

But she didn't know how to respond she was never insulted like this.

'I-i.. Y-you can't be s-serious right?', this time Ruby stuttered.

Felix smirked to himself. Of course he didn't mean it, he loved the way she played her violin but this statement was the only way he could turn the tables on her.

What do you think Ruby will say to this egotistical boy who was being nothing but a jerk?

{The incident which taught Mark about Ruby's love for privacy}

It was a rainy day, Mark planned to go play basketball with his teammates but the rain destroyed his plan. They were planning to play in an open court but that court would now be soaked with water.

He had to go with his father to know about the company in the evening. His father told him that he would be the heir of their company and it would be the best for him to know everything beforehand.

He was really stressed, the meeting his dad's co-workers and all those professional people made his stomach twist.

Basketball was something Mark loved, the only thing that helped him get his mind off things. But now he didn't have that opinion, so he decided to find something else to distract him... But the question was what?

He roamed pointlessly in the hallways and the rooms. Prepared his suit that he would wear

He was becoming more stressed now.

'Ughh..! This is crazy', he yelled expecting to get any idea.

And guess what?

He actually found a way and that was to disturb his cousin, Ruby who was 2 years younger than him.

'She would probably be painting', Mark thought making his way to her room.

Ruby had her own way of painting, she would paint beautifully but would splatter paint on herself as well. By the end of the painting she would be covered in paint from head to toe.

But guess luck wasn't with Mark today, he found his sister's room empty and that's when he realizes she was in the dance room, it was the time of her dance class. He sighs and flopped down on her bed when he found a black leather covered diary. He remembered his cousin scribbling her thoughts on the bright paper.

Grinning mischievously he reached for the diary. Brushing his hands on the smooth cover he opened the diary. Pages covered with scribbling of random yet deep thoughts and doodles.

He flipped onto the first entry in the diary ready to learn about his cousin's thoughts which she rarely spoke of.

But before he could start reading, he was tackled to the ground. Ruby tackled his brother and snatched her most precious thing which held all her secrets.

She was glaring at Mark looking more dangerous than Satan himself. Then she stepped out of her room the diary still clutched in her hands. Ruby made her way to his room and took Mark's favorite video game in which he had taken weeks to reach the highest score and ... Deleted all his progress.

But she wasn't done yet then she took a compass from Mark's table and punchered Mark's favorite basketball.

Whereas Mark was standing on his door with wide eyes he could not possibly stop her, not when she looked like the devil itself.

Mark learned never to invade Ruby's privacy but on the cost of his video game and basketball.

But all this sure did distract him a lot.

So to clear things up, Mark is 18 yrs old and is the son of Andew robinson. Ruby is 16 yrs old and is the daughter of Mathew Robinson. Andrew and Mathew are brothers.
