Connecting the Dots

Jack comes to the apartment complex. He was with officers. They were going to Bella's apartment for other evidence. Cody oversaw the search team. They did not talk much. As they enter the room, they start looking around for more clues. Cody discovered the handkerchief, which he recognized the moment he laid eyes on it, and realized it belonged to Adrian. Cody picks up the handkerchief with a shaken hand. Jack was sitting in the distance, staring at him, and later walked up to him.

"If you are thinking it is a lot, you can wait outside," Jack says to Cody.

No, I am good. I must do it for my sister and him. He does not deserve this. "No one did," Cody said, his voice breaking and tears welling up in his eyes.

The other officer comes over to him. "I need this as a piece of evidence," the police officer explains to Cody. Cody hands over the cloth and walks out of the apartment.

"When you are done, let me know," Cody says to them.
