Chapter 20 What's Wrong?
Elena's POV
After I had listened to Luke's anxious explanation, I had a better understanding of what had happened and instantly I felt amused by the whole scenario. "It seems that I have misunderstood you a lot."
"It's okay Elena. You have a lot of time to get to know me better, in your own time, in the future." He replied with a charming grin that reached his eyes.
After he had said that, my expression seemed to cloud suddenly. I didn't know if there would be a future between me and Luke. He was one of the candidates for the great Alpha King who had an elegant and gentle mother, a huge, powerful pack and I was just a stupid woman who had been betrayed by her husband and hurt by witches.
Luke instantly noticed the change in my mood, and as I didn't reply to him he changed the subject. "I wanted to invite you here because I still have something important to say to you."
"Oh?"
