Chapter 18 The Necklace
Elena's POV
"What are we going to do Elena?"
"To be honest, I haven't figured that out yet."
After I had made the promise to find the would-be assassin, I had begun to investigate non-stop, but there was no progress. I couldn't help but sigh and stared at the plate in front of me.
"Elena, Pay attention to your manners while you're eating."
"Yes, of course, sorry father."
My father's sudden voice startled me, he was still the same old stickler for rule and refused to let me slip on anything.
"How's the Alpha of the Embermoon Pack?"
I was stunned for a moment. I hadn't expected my father to bring up this topic so soon. I had explained the mess in the pack to my father and he believed me that I wouldn't be so jealous as to poison Raine, but he didn't seem to be very optimistic about Luke's business.
