The French soldiers frowned at the actions of their enemies. 

"What the hell is that brat doing?" one of the soldiers asked, watching Lukas sitting down on the grass while drawing.

Most of the time Lukas was staring right on the paper, however, he occasionally took brief glances forward, seemingly at the forest behind the French army.

One of the soldiers frowned. "Is he mocking us?" he asked.

The captain of their army sighed. "I don't know, but don't leave your positions. We may be in a tight spot right now, but we are not giving up," he said.

""Roger!!!"" all the soldiers said in unison.

With their captain's orders, the French soldiers didn't change their formation. Instead, they just kept attacking.

Lukas, despite being focused on his drawing, noticed that his enemies weren't trying to kill, which made him frown.
