One More Time

Nathan felt his eyes open again because he felt a cold feeling fall in his face. Soon more and more fell and he finally notice that it was the rain.

It felt so cold but his body couldn't move any more even the slight movement made his body hurt from pain, he completely stopped moving knowing it was hopeless at this point. He closed his eyes and thought about what happened.

He was driving in his car and suddenly a truck came at hit him where the driver seat was at. He knew the accident was as intentional. He could already find himself slipping in and out of consciousness.

"Nathan what are you doing?" A sweet voice from his memories called out.

His eyes fell slowly to the white figure beside him sitting with her kneeling. The face shocked him the most but even if it was one last time. He really wanted to see her face.

"K-kat..lyn." He spoke in a stutter.

"Nathan, how can you be so careless? Do you really want to die just like this? I even told you to live on?" She softly said.

"Your such a stubborn man. How could you let yourself fall to this point? What happened to the strong man that I once knew?"

"Kate..lyn.." he called once again.

"Mmn, I'm here."

Why did you hide it from me? Why did you have to act like this to push me away? Why didn't you tell me you loved me? Why didn't you tell me your pain? The countless question he wanted to asked weren't said because he let out a bloodily cough.

"Hahh! Hahh" he took a few deep breaths.

She smiled softly and understood his unspoken words.

"I loved you so much that why I let you go."

He blinked his eyes and looked around once again. Katelyn's figure was gone. He felt his eyes burn and tears silently fell down while he laid in the rain.

It was just this morning that he saw his ex-wife lie in a hospital bed dead from poisoning. He was then pushed into a room with something Katelyn had left him before she past away.

He saw hundreds of letters and papers and also diary. But before he could touch them he was given a letter she wrote the day before she died.

He silently read the letter while his tears fell from his eyes. He never knew that his wife did all this just to let him live a normal life.

He closed his eyes and soon heard the sound of the sirens coming from the ambulance. The blaring red lights and many people surrounding him were vaguely heard.

He could feel his body begin moved on a stretcher and something on his mouth. An oxygen mask.

"He lost too much blood!! Hurry we need to move him right now!!" He heard a familiar voice.

He closed his eyes and felt himself falling into a deep sleep. He opened his eye some more time and saw his wife's lovely face in tears this time.

"Nathan don't die.. anything but that. Hold on.. you still have people to care about you.." she said in tears.

"Ka..telyn.." he call out softly.

"Doctor he's responding-"

Nathan coughed out a massive amount of blood in the ambulance shocking them. His breath became unstable and so did his heart rate.

"We're going to lose him!!!" Someone yelled in alarm.

"Nathan.. do you feel tired? Sleep. Don't worry I'll watch over you.." he heard her gentle voice say.

He closed his eyes and felt a tear fall down his eye as he closed them.

'Katelyn, if only I could do this right one more time with you, I would. Now that you left what will I do by myself? It's better if I join you so that you won't feel lonely up there.'

I'm sorry Katelyn. I'm sorry for being such a useless husband and didn't notice your feelings.

I'm sorry for leaving you during your painful moments.

I'm sorry for making you feel like your we're all alone..

"Doctor... we've lost him.." the man spoke in a hesitant voice. The doctor still keep on giving him CPR even though the person was gone.

"No please try again!! We can't lose him too!! Please!! Please!!! One more time! Wake up dammit!!! Nathan you can't die on me man!!! Wake up!!!" He yelled.

"Eli!!!! Stop!!!" A few people had to drag him away from the body.

"I can't- he's my brother I can't lose him too!!!!" Eli felt his tears fall down as he struggled around.

"Eli! He's gone!!!!" Someone yelled making him stop completely.

He fell down to his knees hopelessly and broke out into frustrated tears. He lost two important people one the same day.

Nathan Kingston past away due to accident while his wife Katelyn Kingston past away due to poisoning.

It shocked the whole country finding out that the death of two successful people had happened. They couldn't help but pity them for dying on the same day. Some cried from the news. Other rejoiced after hearing the accident.

That day both husband and wife were buried together.

The truth was spilled out by their close friend and relatives sending the culprits to jail or even worse six feet under.

The light escaped from the curtains and it made him frown. He opened his eyes and looked at the glaring light and in reflex her cover his face using his hand. He felt very thirsty so he reached for the cup on the side and drank the water while sitting up.

Sudden the cup fell in the floor while his eyes looked at himself with shock. He touch his chest and neck and found that his wounds weren't there.

"What the hell!!!" He got up and ran towards the bathroom and looked into the mirror with shock.

Nathan was never one to believe in reincarnation but seeing himself isn't he mirror today he finally believed it.

He ran back into his room and grab his phone to look at the date, "May, 16 20XX."

No way!! He was back to the time he met his wife for the first time!!!
