As he finished talking, I didn't utter a single word. Instead, I held him close, feeling his warmth and the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed. It was a moment of comfort, one that I knew he needed after everything he had been through.

But as I held him, a dark thought crept into my mind. I made a mental note to torture and drain all of them of their blood. The thought was sudden and violent, born out of a deep anger that had been simmering inside me since he started talking.

An angry growl escaped my lips, shaking the room with its intensity. The fact that his uncle would allow his son to do this to him was appalling, and I felt rage surge through my veins. I held him tight, my hands shaking with rage.

I pulled away from him, catching his gaze with mine. "I want you to come and stay with me," I said. "You don't have to worry about your uncle or anyone else. I'll take care of you. Just let me help you."

He nodded, blinking back tears. "But I need to get my mother's necklace first," he said. "It's the only thing I have of hers." I nodded in understanding and pulled him close again. "I'll help you get it back," I said. "You don't have to do it alone."

The night was long as we pleasured each other. Every touch, every kiss, and every moment was filled with passion and love. I feel so lucky to have him in my life. He is not just my lover but also my best friend and partner. I love him with every fiber of my being. "He is mine alone to love and protect, and I will do everything in my power to ensure he feels cherished and adored."

While we were in the bathroom, I mind-linked Liu to help me get a soothing balm for his sore ass and he put it in the drawer beside the bed.

He was so grateful for the relief it provided, and I'm glad I could make him feel better. As we lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, I couldn't help but think about how grateful I am to have him in my life. Our love is beautiful, and I will never take it for granted.

He slept off, and sometime around 5 a.m., he was shivering. On instinct, I turned into my wolf form and snuggled him under me. He stopped shivering, and soon I felt his body relax against mine as he drifted off to sleep. I was so relieved to have been able to provide him with warmth and comfort. I lay there, watching him sleep peacefully in my arms, and I was filled with love and gratitude that I could be here for him. I drifted off soon after, feeling safe and loved.

Around 7 a.m., I was abruptly awakened by a scream. I jolted upright in bed and looked around in confusion, trying to determine the source of the noise. That's when I noticed green-eyes staring at me with a look of terror on his face.

I couldn't understand why he was so scared of me. I slowly got out of bed, trying not to startle him any further. He backed away, still emitting fear. I got down from the bed, and he let out another scream. Liu immediately rushed in.

"Wang, what are you doing?" He said in surprise before he mind-linked me. "Why are you in your wolf form?"

Before I could reply, green-eyes was already out of the door, with his clothes in his hands and wearing only his boxers. He ran out, and I heard his footsteps thumping down the stairs. I couldn't help but feel the sting of rejection as I watched him run away. I howled in frustration and then followed him to the stairs before turning back and going back inside.

Liu shook his head in disbelief and asked me to change back into my human form. I complied with his request and shifted back. I looked out the window to see green-eyes running away in the distance.

"Why were you in your wolf form?" Liu asked, his voice laced with curiosity.

I wanted to keep him warm when he was cold. He was also fascinated by me when I told him I was a hybrid. "I would like to meet Black," he said.

My brother looked at me and smiled. "I will talk to him," he said. "I'll be back soon, okay? Just relax." He gave me a reassuring pat on the shoulder before he left the house.

We got sidetracked last night, and neither I nor he remembered to tell me his name. But for now, I'll name him green-eyes. I regret making him afraid of me.

An hour later, my brother finally returned home. As soon as he walked through the door, I could tell that something had happened. He had a mischievous twinkle in his eye and a smirk on his face. I couldn't help but feel curious about what he had to say.

"What's so funny?" I asked, unable to contain my curiosity.

My brother chuckled before replying, "You'll never believe what just happened."

"He thought the wolf ate me!" I exclaimed, laughing. "That's so hilarious!" My brother laughed too, relieved that he wasn't mad at me. "Yeah, that would have been funny," he said, still chuckling.

His expression changed to one of seriousness. "Actually," he began, "there was something else. A demon followed me."

A demon? Are you sure, I ask. The last time a demon followed us around was when they wanted to steal Nomos, my gargoyle. It was a frightening experience, as demons are known to be dangerous creatures with powerful abilities. Nomos was particularly valuable, not just because he was my pet but because he possessed a unique power that made him a target for those who sought to use his abilities for their gain.

I couldn't be sure, but either the demon followed me or your lover since he reeked of you. He looked human to me, but his eyes glowed an eerie green, which made me think he might be something entirely different. Whatever he was, you should find out. Liu said.

I felt my cheeks heat up as I replied, "Yes, I'll see him tonight. I'm leaving with him next week, so I'll try to find out what he is before then."

"Okay, I'm happy for you. I need to run an errand for Uncle. I will be back soon, and we need to find out who gave you the Blood Wine," he said and left the room.

"What errand?" I asked curiously as I mind-linked him.

He didn't say, but I will tell you all about it when I get back." He replied.

As I bid Liu farewell and closed the mind-link, a sense of unease lingered within me. I couldn't shake off the feeling that he was hiding something from me. It's not like him to be so evasive, especially when we discuss something as significant as running an errand for Uncle.
