The Begining

The last Bell of the day just rang and the Halls are flooded with students. "It's Friday" I hear that one all around me. Yes. Its Friday, and I have detention. I'm the first one in detention I even beat the teacher. Mrs.Anderson is the teacher on duty but she rarely shows up. I decide to get out my book "Our Lives Before" it's a riveting romantic comedy about two best friends who fall in love. Right when I'm about to finish the first paragraph someones hands cover my eyes. "Guess who". I'm really frightened but I recognize the beautiful voice, its Adam. "Why do you always show up when I'm trying to read"? I ask jokingly. I might have only met this boy today, but I feel like I've known him for a life time. "So do you want to hang out today after school"? He asks with a goofy grin on his face. I frown" Sorry I can't I have to babysit my little sister". He doesn't seem to mind he just keeps smiling. "Okay maybe some other time"? Detention ends right when I'm about to answer and Adam is swept away into a crowd of people from after school clubs. I have to walk home, my house is about a mile away from the school so I'm going to be so tired. After a 20 minute walk I reach my doorstep. "uggh"! As soon as I walk in Danielle my little sister runs up to me. "Bubba sissy has a boyfriend"! She screams excitedly. "Another one"? I wonder how long this one will last. Rachel my older sister is somewhere with her friends or her new boyfriend, and dad is at work so I have to babysit. What a "great" way to spend a Friday. It's about 10:30 pm when Danielle finally goes to sleep. I hear the door open, it's my dumb sister and she looks baked. She heads to her room, I can hear her door slam. Well since I'm alone I head to the public library. I don't know why they stay open for 24 hours but I'm glad they do. By the time I finally get there it's 5 till 11:00 pm. I head to the romance section. I love liabraries because every book is it's own world, a whole building full of tiny worlds who wouldn't love that. I grab a book that looks good and head to the seating area. As soon as I turn a corner I see Adam reading "The Time After". That is my favorite romance book it's about two guys who hate each other but secretly fall in love. He likes BL too? I sit down next to him and as soon as he sees me he hides his book. "What's wrong"? I ask. "Umm it's just people make fun of the books I read". He says with a shy smile. I pull out my old book which is the sequal to the one he is reading. "I spent 40 dollars to get the extended edition." I say with a smile. We both started giggling like school girls. We ended up talking and not reading at all by the time we leave it's 1:25 am. I start walking in the direction of my house but he follows me. "what are you doing"? I ask. "what kind of friend would I be if I didn't walk you home". He points to a sign. "Plus I live down this way too". We walk in silence. It's not akward silence it's just silence. He walks me all the way to my door. "Well, see you later" . He says while blushing. "Yea". I look like a tomato I'm so red. I open my door and walk in my dad is still not home. I walk upstairs to my room and close the door. Some part of me whishes he would have kissed me. No I cant think that way I'm straight. Think of boobs. Yep. I wonder what Adam would look like with boobs. No, stop thinking like that!
