Chapter 02: A stormy night
Beomgyu was coming home after taking care of something. He was wearing a black half pants and a white t-shirt. But there was a sleeveless black short coat without any button on it. His mullet hair was dancing and waving on air while he was walking. The street where he was walking was quite dark. But he knew the path very well. So he was walking without any tension and carelessly. His legs were looking cute in his white socks and black shoes. The wind was quite chilly and it was nice to walk in such beautiful weather. There were not enough people on the street because it was very late of the night already. Beomgyu put his hands on his pant pockets and walked on the street slowly. He was thinking what he just did and where he just came from. He felt thirsty and wanted to drink water. There was a super store nearby and he just needed to walk for two minutes. Beomgyu saw it was open until now so he was heading there. When he was about to go inside and pull the door, he bumped into someone.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" the boy apologized very gently and kept bowing to him. Finding him cute, Beomgyu had an idea to bully him and started laughing in his mind.
"Hey! Didn't you see a person coming? Did you pull off your eyes and put it somewhere else? What if I get hurt? What if I fall down right now? Would you compensate? Huh? Would you?" Beomgyu was talking like such a mean gangster while walking close to him. The boy was quite tall but he got afraid and he was walking backwards. Beomgyu found him cuter and he went closer to him so that he would have backed more. Though Beomgyu had to trip his foot to reach the boy's face, he went closer to his cute face and grabbed his collar.
"I-I I am sorry! I'm sorry!" He apologized again and tried to bow again but this time his head hit Beomgyu's nose hardly and he got hurt.
"Uh!" Beomgyu moved back and held his own nose.
"A-I-a..." The boy went speechless and looked at him with his cat eyes. Beomgyu took a look at him. He just looked like a giant bunny. His forehead was covered with his black bangs. His eyes were so lovely and cute. He also has a sharp nose but it looks cute too. It could be understandable that he was quite chubby in his childhood but he's no longer a chubby kid because he grew up well and quite taller. His pink heart shaped lips were not very thick or very thin. It was just perfect. He was wearing an ash colored hoodie and black colored long pants. Except for his head and some parts of neck, his body was fully covered with clothes. Though it makes him even cuter, Beomgyu felt hot by seeing him like that because the weather's so hot nowadays.
"YOU! YOU DID IT WILLINGLY, DIDN'T YOU?" Beomgyu came to his senses and tried to yell at him. But seeing him pouting he couldn't bear his cuteness anymore.
"I-I a-am s-so sorry! I-I d-didn't mean to hit you!" he said being sorry and almost cried.
"Oo! It's okay. I got it." suddenly Beomgyu started acting strangely.
"I just came to buy water." saying this Beomgyu turned around and started to walk away avoiding his eyes.
"But we are close for today." He said and came in front of him.
"But I'm thirsty!" Beomgyu said and looked at him. Seeing Beomgyu's red nose he started feeling guilty again but didn't know what he should do. He started scratching his head even though it wasn't itchy at all.
"Make me compensation for what you just did to me then! Buy me water or else I'm not gonna forgive you." Beomgyu started talking like a gangster again. "B-but..." mumbling on his own he stopped and went to the fridge while thinking whether he should just give him water or not because all the accounts he just closed and he can't entry new accounts for the day. He grabbed a water bottle after opening the fridge and closed it.
"Here you go." he came to Beomgyu and ask for taking the bottle from his hand. There was nobody else inside the store. The goods were arranged in good shape and the store was so clean. Beomgyu could even see his reflection on the floor. He looked at the boy's face. It was full of guiltiness.
"Oh! Thanks! I'm not gonna pay for this. Got it? It's a compensation. You don't need to be sorry anymore." Beomgyu said calmly while taking the bottle to console him and make him cheerful but he was also careful so that his real feelings won't get exposed at the same time. He looked away and started walking to the door which was still open for them.
"Yes!" he replied and nodded gently. Beomgyu came outside and opened the cap of the bottle. He started drinking water without looking at anything. Suddenly he felt someone grab his arm. He got startled and tried to look who it was. He saw the boy from the store who was grabbing his arm. He pulled Beomgyu with himself and tried to take him inside the store again.
"W-what are you doing?" Beomgyu tried to exceed himself. But he didn't listen to him and he was quite strong. So, he pulled Beomgyu inside again.
"It's going to rain and you would get cold if you get wet." he answered and left Beomgyu's hand.
"Hahaha! Are you a weather forecaster?" Beomgyu laughed and asked.
"No, I just sensed it. I mean smelt the rain." he replied smilingly. Beomgyu saw his cute dimples for the first time. When he smiles, it feels like the world has nothing but peace and suddenly a bunch of happiness would embrace the person warmly whoever saw him smiling. But Beomgyu wasn't the type to lose to someone.
"HAHAHA! What did you say? You smelled it? How can someone smell the rain even though it hasn't started yet?" Beomgyu was laughing loudly and of course he didn't believe him.
"But..... I'm telling the truth." he pouted again while saying. Beomgyu felt like if he stayed here for longer, he would be killed by this boy's cuteness. So, he thought he should leave and tried to pass beside the tall boy.
"You should listen to me! Or else you're gonna regret it." he stopped Beomgyu again and begged for listen to him. Beomgyu didn't answer and came outside. He noticed the winds got more chiller than before but it's not like it's gonna rain soon. He started walking slowly but suddenly felt something just dropped on his head. He touched his head to check what it was and looked at his hand but it was just water nothing else. Soon, the water started pouring from the sky and he almost got wet.
"Aish!" Beomgyu tried to cover his head with his hands. He ran to the store again and went inside.
"See? I told you, it's going to rain." he saw Beomgyu and saying that with a big smile he fetched a towel for Beomgyu. But this time Beomgyu felt like he was mocking him.
"Tsk!" Beomgyu took the towel and started wiping himself. He looked outside and tried to check outside. But it was raining heavily and he couldn't see anything. The boy was sitting on a chair. There was a desk type table too.
"You can sit here." he said to Beomgyu showing that there was one more chair.
"Give me an umbrella. I want to go home right now." Beomgyu said.
"You can't handle this heavy rain. Sit here." showing the chair again he said. Beomgyu was confused about what he should do. But he also knew that he can't walk in this storm. Without any choice he went to the boy and sat beside him. He made a face with a very disappointed look. Suddenly a weird sound came from his stomach. He felt awkward and looked at the boy. When he saw there was no expression on his face, Beomgyu felt relieved because he thought the boy didn't hear the sound coming from his stomach. But disappointing him, the sound came again and this time both of them heard it. The giant bunny smiled at him and asked,
"Are you hungry? We serve cooked ramen to our customers too." It was a very kind voice that Beomgyu couldn't say no to. He nodded and became embarrassed.
"Wait two minutes and I'll serve you the best ramen of our store." saying this he stood up and went away. Beomgyu was so embarrassed that he couldn't say anything. He was also feeling strange and seemed like he would go out of breath.
After some time, he came back with two bowls of noodles and kept them on the table. Beomgyu took the chopsticks from him and started eating slowly. He also sat beside him and dug into the food.
