Chapter 5

Aurora had woken up bright and early as usual while she was silently regretting what had already happened with her feelings for Logan. It had become more and more obvious to her that her crush had went from 0-100 pretty fast and did it scare her. She had gotten dressed into some warm clothing as she had gone out in front to eat. She saw s it was now 5.30 but neither one of her parents were awake. Quickly putting on the coffee machine, Aurora had gone and prepared two bowls of cereal, as she had gone into her parents' room seeing both of them still asleep.

"Daddy," Aurora said as both her parents got up.

"It's 5:34. Breakfast and coffee in the dining room," Aurora said as Elijah jumped out of bed.

"The alarm didn't go off," Elijah said.

"Coffee, Mom," Aurora said as she placed the coffee in front of her mother.

"You're..."

"Lunch is packed," Aurora said as she and Elijah went to eat.

Rushing through the breakfast, Elijah had gone to get dressed while Aurora made sure that everything else was done with. She exhaled as she looked at her arm with the bracelet attached while thinking back of what had happened the previous day. To her nothing was certain and yet again, everything was upside down. But she couldn't help but think that her life was slowly turning out the way it's supposed to.

"Have you thought of my suggestion yet?" Elijah asked as Aurora looked at her father.

While her father had suggested that Aurora could go to Miami to visit her grandparents for the summer, it had come at a rough price. Causing quite some fights between her and her mother, it had seemed like a bad idea. While Elijah was more than keen on sending his daughter away for two weeks to go and visit family.

"Um not yet. Let me talk to Grandpa over the weekend then I'll let you know," Aurora said.

"Don't wait too long. You know how it is with everything over the summer. It's two weeks, sweetheart. You'll be fine," Elijah said.

"I know I will. Let me just think a little," Aurora said as Elijah stopped the car.

"Okay then. I'll see you tonight," Aurora said as she got out of the car and grabbed her bag.

Facing the new circumstances of her love for Logan, she had shaken her head as she saw how the guys had already arrived at the college. She took a breath as she had gone into the college and went up into the classroom. Looking at the first exam that she had to write that day it came as a shock to her that she wasn't entirely aware of her surroundings. Her life had changed so much over the last few weeks that she didn't even know what to do.

"Hey, Aurora," Logan said as he came into the classroom.

"Where are your other classmates?" Aurora asked.

"Outside smoking. You okay?" Logan asked as Aurora nodded, surprised that he had forgotten their conversation a few days back.

"Internal exam. Slightly nervous. Hopefully it goes well," Aurora said.

"It'll be fine. When are you writing?" Logan asked.

"1pm. My dad had to drop me off early. Work stuff," Aurora said.

"I'm sure you'll do fine," Logan said as the rest of the class entered the room.

Aurora exhaled as she had gone out of the classroom and immediately saw Noah and his class.

"Noah, hi," Aurora said.

"Hey. How are you?" Noah asked hugging Aurora.

"Nervous. Huge exam that I'm doing today. Well not huge. It's basically like our tests. Referred to as internal exams, but yeah," Aurora said.

"You seem nervous. Everything okay?" Noah asked as Aurora nodded.

"I'm all over the place lately. Some drama with love and so," Aurora said.

"Anything I can help with?" Noah asked.

Noah and Aurora had gotten to know one another when they were put into the same classroom for their college orientation. But it also came to them that they were very similar, and they immediately got along. And since that day they've been friends.

"No. I'll be okay. I gotta get going. I'll see you guys around," Aurora said as she had gone out of the classroom and back into hers.

As she had sat down next to Logan, he gave her a smile as she had gotten out a notepad and started to go through notes.

"Landon," Logan said as his brother looked at him.

"Let's be a little quiet. She's studying for an exam," Logan said as Landon nodded and quietly informed the rest of the people.

"I HATE LIFE!" Gabriella said as she and Aurora had gone back into the classroom.

"Calm down please. No need to get all wind up," Aurora said as she had put away her things.

"How did it go?" Logan asked.

"Don't ask Gabriella that. What is going on with you? That was easy. Easier than I thought it would be," Aurora said.

"What did you guys write?" Logan asked.

"EHRTH," Aurora said.

"That's you're human resource subject, isn't it?" Logan asked.

"For me it was pretty easy. For Gabriella..."

"I had to prepare for that damn presentation we did yesterday. Which I sucked at, by the freaking way. And Aurora basically got compliments. Ma'am Michelle favorites you. I am sure of that," Gabriella said as Aurora had smiled.

"You going home?" Aurora asked as Gabriella nodded and had gone to get her bag.

"Yes. You?" Gabriella asked as Aurora shook her head.

"Stuck here until 4pm. My dad only comes to pick me up then," Aurora said.

"What are you going to do for the next two hours?" Gabriella asked.

"Study for marketing," Aurora said opening her computer.

"See you on Friday then," Gabriella said as she had left the classroom and Aurora had started to study for the next exam that they would be writing.
