The moment I heard about Adventurer's Guild I was ready to break the window and get out of that place, but I chose to stay a little bit more time with my presence erased. And, boy I wasn't wrong, they were handing out status plates which can be considered an ID card or something that could prove your identity, and that was great! In our situation we were handled blank status plates that we need to fill with our names using our blood. You use a small needle to prick your finger and get some blood on a plate and then on normal civilians you get your status, but on people with the title "Summoned" you can alter it almost as much as you can, of course you can alter visibility of your stats not the stats it self.

While I was waiting for the best moment I heard that it's theorized that there's nothing like max level, but it's simply too life-threatening to grind your levels so much. It made me realize just how much potential I had, firstly my martial arts, that have proven themselves to be useful and secondly my current status, even while level 3.

There was one big statue before us and two clear windows on both of our sides, this was the best place to make an escape! I jumped towards the window on my left and smashed it with my fist, of course nobody from my class could recognize me, because when we were transferred I was holding my backpack in my hand and in it I had spare clothing and a pitch black balaclava, which I put on when I was hiding my presence.

While I was running away like some thief, I could hear shouting from the inside of the castle I was in just a few moments ago.

Then, some weird light came from beneath me and blinded me, when I got hit by that lighting I fainted.

Second before our MC fainted and actually disappeared you could hear from the old priest, something along these lines.

[Sigh, Arel, use it!]

[Got it]

As soon as Arel replied to the old priest, he started chanting some magic and light particles started to surround running away Dave.

[Teleportation - Abyss dungeon floor 50] Arel ended his chant and said those words, as he ended it, Dave vanished and only a few small light particles could be seen.

His classmates were dumbfounded, but the Old priest and Arel quickly calmed them and they continued the walk to the throne hall. They were going there to meet the King.

Back to our protagonist, he was laying on the floor of some structure that looked like a dungeon you could find in any RPG.

[Where the heck am I?]

I got up from the floor and the same floating letters that I could find in my status were seen.

Welcome to the 50Th floor of the "Abyss Dungeon"!

[... What!? I was on the surface just a while ago and now I am in some kind of dungeon!? What nonsense, and even then why the heck I am here!]

In the exact time when I finished my monologue I could feel that ground was vibrating and something was coming towards me, something big.

It resembled a lion, with it's fur you probably could make a great coat. Wait, do I have any weapon on me?

[Oh, I have "this", don't I?]

As I still had my backpack on me I started running away from the lion and searched inside my backpack for "it".

[Here "it" is!]

I said as I pulled out a knife. The blade was around 10 centimeters and the handle was made out of wood with screws inside it. I grabbed it tightly and turned around to face the lion.

I slashed in front of me and then dashed behind the monster and delivered lethal blow to the skull

[So it was Lonely Lion, huh. It's name is kinda strange, but whatever]

Dave wasn't aware, but on the 50th floor of the Abyss Dungeon the Lonely Lion was one of the strongest monsters. Also for now humans only managed to get into 48 floors of this dungeon.

[So, let's hunt more of those lions]

He said and went deeper into the abyss.

After only 2 hours of hunting Lonely Lions, he decided to take a break and try to eat one of those.

Dave didn't know, but the average level for one of Lonely Lions was 60 or even 70, but Dave used his experience and martial arts to close the gaps of level. But now he didn't even have any level gap.

I watched how my grandfather hunted and skinned small animals like rabbits when we were out of town, camping in the wild, so I think I have a little experience.

I cutted off the leg of Lion that was close to me, skinned it and got rid of the blood. Inside the handle of my knife I keep flint and some water purifications pills. I lit up the fire and got some meat onto my knife and cooked it over the fire.

After evenly cooking the meat I placed it on my lunch box, cut using my knife and checked it with my Appraisal.

It has been nicely cooked, without any spices it will taste like a chicken, it's poisonous to people who have Physical Resistance below 120.

[I guess I'll be fine with eating this meat, but the water problem isn't solved]

There's no water nearby, and I honestly don't think that there will be any. I think I could use Water Magic to get some water. But how do I use magic? I'll use Appraisal on it and see if I got anything.

Water(ice type) magic special affinity - you have great affinity towards water magic, especially ice type of it, you can use it by imagining pictures of magic you try to use, saying the name of it and spending your mana.

[Hou, so as long as I have my imagination and mana I can use magic? But… What is mana? Can I appraise it?]

Nope, can't do it. After pondering for some time I took a hint after remembering the chi that my old man was talking about.

Something that you have to get it from your belly I don't remember exactly, but I think I could use this concept to use mana.

I tried circulating mana and surprisingly I could clearly feel it. I circulated it towards my hand and focused on my palm while I had a picture of a water ball in my head. After focusing for a while I could feel that mana was coming out of me and forming something in my hand. When I opened my eyes I could see a water ball floating above my palm.

[Whoa, so this is magic!]

I tried drinking it and it tasted like normal water so I went ahead and drank some more. It was refreshing. It went surprisingly well with the meat of lions I hunted.
