In the mansion of the town lord of Arthvill

Dry :" So you're saying that the citizens all died before you and your personal guards could do anything? "

The town

lord : " Y..yes ,it was.. truly unfortunate,so is the beast horde subjugated now ?"

Dry was currently covered in beast blood and small scratches, after killing about 100 Death hounds & 20 or more shadow walkers he made his way towards the town's biggest house where the lord of the town would be residing, he expected atleast 100 people to be in the house protected by their lord from this tragedy but to his disappointment, all he saw there was hundreds of half eaten corpses of the town people infront of the gates, the lord was just a man who was unfit for his job, he only protected himself and his family inside the bunker which Dry just tore open with his means of opening

And to say disappointment he truly was disappointed especially when he saw only relief in the eyes of this middle classes nobleman

Dry :"(looks at the woman and 2 children ,older boy and younger girl who both seemed no older than 10 & 6 behind the nobleman ){ Atleast the wife seems to be ashamed } (glares at the nobleman making him flinch )

The town

lord :" W..wha.. what's with that glare?!! Do you know who I am ? ".

Dry :" I know, but frankly i don't care, and ... Do you know what the Aldrin law of nobility's 3rd section say ?".

The lord realising what the man in black Armor was saying immediately turned tail and started running away only to be impaled by a black tentacle that rose up from the shadow of Dry

Looking at the impaled corpse with disdain he commanded his shadow to retreat and looked at the woman and 2 children in the room, the woman looked down right horrified as she hugged her 2 kids who seemed stunned by all this screaming

" (pleaded with tears) Please, the kids they're innocent, it was all we ,their parent's fault so please spare their lives atleast -"

Dry :" .... Fine then, you will be taken into custody for execution ,and the kids will be taken to the church till they can take care of themselves "

The woman's shadow moved and immediately formed a handcuff to tie her hands away from her child

The 2 children simply looked at their mother with empty eyes, the young boy stood back up and asked Weakly

" M..mom why is..this happening to..u"

" Flark ,(replied with a smile over her teary expression) i am sorry ".

"....."

The boy then looked at Dry

" M..mister, my..mo- "

Dry :<Sleep>

Both of the children lost consciousness, Dry then looked back at the woman and said with a tone filled with contempt

" You should've thought twice about leaving those hundreds of your people, your responsibilities out there to just die ."

The woman simply looked down at the ground with lost look of hopelessness, she was then taken into the shadows by Dry who kept her out of sight till they got back to the capital for her trial

After imprisoning her to his shadow realm, Dry letted out a heavy sigh, { This is why noble titles shouldn't be just inherited }(looks at the corpse of the nobleman )" Why couldn't you have just opened those damned gates atleast? ".

He then left the mansion,and at the front doors he saw another horde of Death hounds beyond the gates who seemed to be wandering here and there

{ Again? This is annoying ,my mood is already bad to begin with }" Huh? "

To his surprise though the dark skinned beasts, all of them, the entire hord suddenly looked up at sky and ran back ,far away and outside of the town passing even some of the 14th Brigade's members that were on their way without even sparing them a glance

Dry looked at the backs of the retreating beasts with a hint of surprise

{ Wait! This is! }" Has the gate been cleared? ".

Snow :" Shit!! (was on the ground being slowly crushed by a particularly large Death hound that she was pushing back with her sword) "{ This damn thing!! }

Tina :(blasted a death hound apart with a ball of wind energy, had already used half of her mana reserves) " You can curse too huh! "(blasted another beast apart )

Hearing her friend's words Snow litted up her blade with mana-

Tssssrt booommm!!!

-and blasted the damn thing apart with her sword art's 10th movement ,she stood up with a look of annoyance and replied

" When i rarely feel like it !" (dashed at another Death hound )

Currently they were at the gate of Arthvill where they were waiting for the others ,but to their luck which seemed bad ,a group of 24 death hound with an alpha came from the town and attacked them.

" Are all of our other squadmates dead or something? "( dodged a claw that came for her face )

Tina :" Who knows? (flew away from a coming bite attack and blasted the attacker to bits) Just concen-... Snow!! "

Graaa!!-arg

Snow :( Stabbed the last Death hound )" What? "

Tina flew towards Snow in a rush and grabbed her off the ground taking her into the air at about 50 meters high

Snow :" Umm... What is it ? "(looks at Tina questioningly ,also she wasn't very comfortable like this )

Tina who seemed to be looking forward towards the south western side of the town with a look of dread replied

" Look "

Following her words Snow too looked at the south western direction and immediately widened her eyes in shock

" Oh my god "

A hord of atleast over 2000 death hounds and shadow walkers ran through the town towards the gate crushing every building and small walls on their way , but for some reason were not attack any other people nearby

Tina :" Where do you think they're going ? "

The beast were then passing the gate below them and ran through the forest

Snow :" I think they're retreating "(saw something then said) " Hey ,are those soldiers, who are running towards the gate from the forest ?"

Tina Looked at the forest and saw 3 people, a woman and two men running towards the gate

Tina :" Don't worry, they didn't attack anyone in town right? "

Snow :" Yeah i guess you're right { The hored is moving too fast and they're too far to reach now anyway} "

Methuselah :" Guys "

The other members of their squad the 107th looked at him as if waiting for instructions

Harris :( was still on Methuselah's back due to exhaustion, the female warrior was carried by the others, was concious now ) " Orders man, orders "( was in full alert mode , bewildered )

They were currently making an diamond formation with the spear head being Methuselah, they were right now for some reason in the middle of stampede of death hounds and shadow walkers who weren't even attacking them

" My lord what should we do? Do we attack?"

A young male warrior asked

Methuselah :" No, they aren't attack so don't provoke them "

Harris :" I think they are retreating "

Methuselah :" !(had sudden realisation)Do you think the gate's been cleared? ".

Harris :" Hmm it might be cleared considering the strength of the 1st brigade ,but ".

Methuselah :" Is it about the casualties? "

The beasts were still running past them

Harris :" Dude your parents are there too, aren't you worried? "

Methuselah :" Yeah, but i have to stay calm for now atleast, anyhow if they cleared the gate then all the better even if there are some casualties ,i can only hope that both father and mother lives through it ( smiled to calm his nerves ) ".

Harris:" { I have a bad feeling about those words }"

Back at the entrance of the boss cave ,the group were finally free of the effects of paralysis ,they frantically stood up and looked at Duke Redgarden without a word—They were a bit pissed off by him letting the king go alone in the boss fight—However there were 2 people who didn't even gave him a glance and just flew in the cave at such high speed that they left afterimages .

Elizabeth was using her fastest mobility spell <Photon flash> whereas Blane used his flight skill <Aura booster> to fly through the cave and in no time at all they were infront of the plane silver gate which Blane opened with great difficulty with the help of Elizabeth's <Empress touch> /A growth type telekinetic spell/

And the moment they entered the unbelievably wide room they looked around here and there with a tense heart, the room was a hall of crater with an exceptionally large one in the middle, a huge fight seemed to have happened here which has now seemed to have ended

Elizabeth who was currently frightened barely keeping her composure quickly used <Ether zone> /a high level detection spell/ and immediately found one corpse

Blane :" My queen ,did you find anything?? "

Elizabeth:" On your 1 O'clock at about 550 km away ,your father.... I'm sorry Blane ".

Hearing the queen's words unable to accept it , Blane hurriedly dashed towards the direction, Elizabeth still remained at her position and frantically spreaded her <Ether zone> consuming her mana at an alarming rate, but to her dismay Albert's presence was nowhere to be felt .

This only made her feeling of worry and despair grew more and more, she knew her husband well ,and after a whole minute passed after consuming all 90% her mana to completely scan through the entire room, Elizabeth dropped to her feet feeling dizzy from mana deficiency and immense grief while clenching her heart that felt like it was being ripped apart from the inside

She had indeed found Albert who was now nothing but a burnt up corpse this alone completely made her lose strength but what made this even more painful was the aura of divinity emitting from the revolver that the Albert's corpse was carrying

Completely hollow ,a rain tears dropped from her blue eyes, she grabbed her head and started to breath irregularly having a huge panic attack

{No..no no no no no no}" Aah aaah Aaaaaaaaaaaaa!!"
