Welcome home young master

After travelling for two weeks, Aran finally reached his hometown.

The carriage stopped at the centre of his hometown and after getting off, aran started to walk towards his residence. While he was walking home, all the people of the town looked at him with disappointment.

A few days back, when the soldiers returned, they had told everyone that Aran died in battle, but looking at him alive now, they were surprised but angry about trash like him surviving when a lot of brave soldiers died.

Although aran got angry, hearing their comments, he just walked ignoring everyone. After a while, he finally arrived at his home.

Wilford Family's Mansion was the biggest mansion in the whole city, with all kinds of facilities. As he reached the mansion, the gatekeeper looked at him with the same disappointed look as everyone else.

"Welcome home young master. I heard that you died in the battle! what happened? "  He asked, in a tone, like he was wishing for Aran's death.

Since aran was very weak since childhood, he had no respect in his own house. Even the servants and maids used to taunt him. Although he couldn't just fight them, he always used to keep them at their place, not giving them any chance.

"Nothing much happened, while I was heading here, I also heard people saying that you got smarter while I was away. But looking at you, I guess we were both wrong!" Aran replied.

' He hasn't changed at all. that same weakling with an arrogant attitude! ' The gatekeeper thought to himself.

" Now, Open the gate !" Aran said and the gatekeeper opened the gate.

As Aran walked inside, he told a servant to inform his mother about his return. The servant immediately ran inside and informed aran's mother about her son's return.

When Ellania heard that her son isn't dead, her eyes filled with tears. She immediately got up and headed straight towards aran and as she saw him, without any questions, she embraced him tightly. She couldn't say anything because she didn't know what to say.

Looking at his mother Aran was happy to know that there is at least someone here who loves him unconditionally.

As Ellania embraced her son, she felt some of the wounds in his body and She blamed herself for sending her son to the war.

Although she felt sad, and had a lot of things to ask about the war, she didn't want to waste time talking to him and wanted to treat Aran first. So she called some servants and told them to take his son to his room.

" Take some rest now. I will send the medicines. We can talk later. " She said and aran left for his room.

As aran went to his room, he saw his face in the mirror and realized that he needs a haircut.

After cutting his hair, he took a hot bath and put on some decent clothes, before taking the medicines his mother had sent him.

After that, he slowly laid down in his bed. It had been months since he slept on his bed, so he was feeling peaceful.

The Wilford family was one of the most powerful families in Carwel.

Aran's grandfather, Hadwyn Wilford was one of the Four Grand Ministers of the nation. Hadwyn was a true patriot and he was considered to be the greatest tactician in the country. Hadwyn had Four children and Deylor, Aran's father was his third son.

Deylor's elder brother and elder sister lived in the capital. Although Deylor wanted to become the Patriarch of the family, He wasn't strong enough to beat his elder brother. So his elder brother managed to beat him and the others in the Succession ceremony and became the patriarch of the family.

Deylor's only younger brother was a well-known merchant and he had no interest in leading the family. Since he didn't want to get in between the politics of the family, He always stayed away from it. He only cared about his business and was living with his family, in Tyrak, a neighbouring country of Carwel.

Since Deylor couldn't achieve what he wanted, he wanted his son to become the patriarch. But Aran was too weak and Fenris had no interest in leading the family.

Fenris was a soldier, He had graduated from the most prestigious magic academy of the Carwel when he was only seventeen years old. After that Fenris joined the national army and became a soldier. He was even promoted from a soldier to a captain and given his own squad in less than a year.

Fenris was the only person in the family Hadwyn truly liked. Because all of his family members were so greedy and always wanted power at the cost of everything. Fenris was the only one, who truly cared for his family and the country.

Although Hadwyn wanted Fenris to become the next family head, Fenris always rejected that idea. Whenever Hadwyn suggested becoming the head of the family, he used to say that

" A soldier should be on the battlefield, not in a mansion."

Despite his disappointment, Hadwyn was proud to have Fenris as his grandson.

After taking the medicines Aran took some rest and as it got dark, he got up from his bed and headed to the dining room, for the dinner.

As Aran entered the dining room, he saw that his father was already there and waiting for him.

" Sit down! "Deylor said as he saw aran and Aran immediately sat down.

"I heard that you couldn't make it out of the battle, what happened? "

When Deylor asked that, Aran looked at Deylor's face and he realized Deylor's disappointment. He was upset to see his father with the same expression as everyone else.

He told his father that he survived the attack, due to the defence artifact his brother gave him; but that he got severely injured and had to hide in a cave until the battle finished.

Hearing this, Deylor got more furious,

" Of course, you did that, what else can you do?" Daylor said in a disappointing tone. Hearing that, Ellania who was sitting there, listening to him, got angry.

" Stop it! Our son has returned after surviving a battle, why can't you be happy about that?"  She asked.

She couldn't just let Deylor humiliate Aran. Because she blamed herself for not trying her best to stop Deylor from sending her son to war. She felt like if she didn't defend Aran now, then she can never forgive herself.

"You are the reason why he is like this! He has returned home! So what? He is still the weakling he always was. I am done trying, I will not interfere with his life ever again. From now on, I only have one son. I am going to pretend that my other son died in the battle. So do whatever you want to do! "

Deylor said it loud like he lost all his hope for Aran. After saying that he immediately got up and left the room.

Aran was furious to hear that, but he knew, his feelings doesn't make any difference. So he calmed himself down. He thought that he will prove himself one day, by getting stronger.

Although Ellania tried her best to comfort her son, Aran just went back to his room, after finishing his dinner. He didn't want to waste any time, He wanted to take some rest and start his training the very next day.

After a good sleep, When Aran woke up the next day, it was already past breakfast time. Since he took a lot of medicinal pills yesterday, It had made him sleep longer than, he expected. So he had to eat breakfast alone.

After eating breakfast, He headed straight to the private library of the Wilford mansion.

As he got there, he took a seat and summoned the book. When the book appeared in his hands, he commanded the book, to show him the ways to his breakthrough.

Since Elrich had told him that the book has its own will, he knew, the book can do that. As he looked at the book, many methods for cultivation breakthroughs appeared but every one of them seemed better than others.

As he was scrolling through the pages, he saw a special demonic Technique. It was written that it was one of the greatest techniques in that book and the technique was created by Elrich himself after he died and got reincarnated.

After reading about that technique, Aran realized that it was the most difficult breakthrough method in the book but it was also the most remarkable.

That technique was intense enough to awaken all the elemental attributes and both of the cultivation styles if he wants.

But when Aran looked at the materials he needed for that technique, he got stunned. Those list of materials was insanely weird. But still, since aran had almost died for his breakthrough, he felt like it was nothing and decided to go with that method, whatever the difficulty might be.
