chapter 4: hope for the rebels & the plans

as many people looked at Virgil he looked for that tall woman again. one of the rebels who had saw Virgil fight start to speak and point that Virgil

" everyone that man is the reason why we actually got to see our families again he's the reason why we actually won that fight!!!!"

everyone's eyes started to widened And starting to cheer this was what they needed hope. Virgil know one thing in war no matter how losing a side is in a war as long as they have hope they will fight to the last man during his time he had seen humans rebelled against kingdoms. and he've seen them overcome great obstacles because they had hope. as he walk through and pulled down his mask completely he walked through the this new train station calmly as he looked to wear what seemed to be similar to the last base of operations. he made his way there and as he started to step up the stairs to the office he saw the short man and he began to speak.

" it looks like you survived you old bastard good to see that"

I smiled as I walked past him still holding the blade covered in blood as I walked in all of them seem surprised to look at me. the tall woman smiled as she bowed and this caught many of the People by surprise but they did the same.

" tell me how would you rate that attacks from my brother's Army that you all just escaped from compared to your past ones 1 to 5."

" with that battle with no casualties the people have hope they will fight harder than they ever had before. we need to give them a decisive Victory and attack on the enemy to keep the Flames of Hope alive. humans have overcome Empires before with hope. and now that everyone both human and vampire has hope. we will tear them to shreds. now send scouts out throughout this Subway systems to fine outposts of decent size not the kind you've already attacked before I'm talking where there's a real chance of defeat before I was here. since vampiric scouts out to to the surface and have them start looking for more people to recruit anyone who has even the slightest disdain for the current regime. and have those Scouts become spies have them work with those people have them show how cruel and tyrannical the current regime is set the season for a new flame of rebellion. but you must also send vampiric scouts out to search for the great tombs."

everyone seemed to be following my orders until the last one the toll woman looked at me scared.

" why are we looking for the tombs?"

I looked her directly in the eyes and spoke calmly.

" because the great tombs should be where some of the chalices of the king's blood are kept. Only The Grandmaster bear the knowledge to open them. even the queen herself made those barriers so even with someone who had to drink her blood couldn't open them meaning my brother hasn't touched those chalices. and because of that will be his downfall as you know I have already consumed one chalice. there were six in total and only four great tombs. you found one of the only two chalices to be outside of this great tombs. the king's blood is required to open the tombs which is why only two chalices were left outside of these tombs. because if one of the great ones consumed the for trellises within the tomb we had had a way to enter so that we could use blood magic old rights to remove the king's blood from whoever dreamed it to open the barrier. to make sure the barriers keeping the great ones we're still strong enough to hold them even if such a thing happened to even strengthen the barriers if they were found lacking. my brother would need very powerful blood Mages to keep the rights to remove the king's blood from someone's body. but that kind of experience doesn't come cheaply a lot of experience with blood magic and had a Mastery of it would be required for that ritual."

" because of this the Kings blood was used as the key to the barriers I have his blood meaning I can enter the tombs but no one else besides the Blessed Knights of the bloody Veil could enter without feeling the immediate effects of frenzy. no lost were able to enter the barrier they always surrounded it cuz they heard the call of the great ones meeting a large fraction of the bloody veil was meant to keep the Lost down as the group was sent to either strengthen the barrier or check to see if the king's blood was consumed by the great ones. because of this you had to be very fast me and my brother we're always on the outside of the barrier keeping the Lost down when last we checked before he betrayed us. neither of us had ever been in the barrier. but because of strong blood magic the great tombs would teleport randomly throughout the world once every year. and within that to him the great one and the King's blood would be gone until we found where the newly was. and the tombs were on a turn basis one team would teleport a year and then the next year a different tomb would then the third to teleport and then the 4th the cycle repeat until two things happen. the great one within the tomb has been vanquished and the King's blood is no longer present within the tomb. mind you these great ones are capable because of their power to call lesser lost ones to them but only to a maximum of six of what I heard. from the older bloody Vail back when I was young. which is why the elite group was typically 20 people 6 for the possibility having to strengthen the barrier and 14 to deal with whatever lost the great one had summoned."

" simple I will have to drink the blood of the great one to get at the king's blood within its vain no one knows what will happen once I do drink the great ones blood as well as the Kings but I am assuming it will be like what happened when I first drink the king's blood I'll become immensely more powerful. but the issue would be now all is said and done of those for tombs being taken care of my brother will be able to sense my presence if I don't constantly suppress my full power. which in theory would stop me from perfectly pinpointing the location of the last chalice. hell it even stopped me completely from pinpointing it."

as I said this everyone seemed to go quiet the tall girl started to look at her men and started to go in the speaker and she spoke calmly.

" I need all Scouts report within the training Hall is time for a mission for you all."

I will start to make my way to the training Hall and I could hear everyone sigh relief as I left. I'm guessing they were truly afraid of what I was going to say next but as I entered the training Hall I sat on the stage which seems to be where people would make a speech. I close my eyes for a few minutes as I heard everyone was in place. as I open my eyes I saw the tall woman standing at the podium and she began to speak.

" all right everyone we have three missions The first one is for a group of vampires to agree to scout out to find the great tombs..... the second mission is for a group of vampires that spread out thin throughout the city

to fine possible new recruits and look for the perfect chance to recruit them in the Rebellion... now is the final mission that will be the most dangerous because you will be heading directly for Enemy Lines and most likely will get into a fight.... the 3th mission is where a group of humans vampires or mix of both go into the subway tunnels to look for the base is we typically Mark for no hit and run fights. which as many of you know is our main fighting strategy. for those places that you will be marking the tunnels with our stand marks flat for preparing to attack. and as you can probably deduced yes we are planning to attack a much bigger Target than our normal targets. The first of these much bigger battles will be led by Our Hope. he will introduce himself now."

I said this is many people start to recognize my eyes and started to talk amongst themselves. as I got off the podium I stood up this time as the tall woman went back and begin to speak.

" as you know the last Hideout we were in was attacked by Dante's Army but we lost no one during that battle because of Vail. he has given us hope and we will show those heartless bastards what happens when we bear our fangs and show them that this corrupt regime is torn down and burned."

this seems to get everyone pumped as they all started cheering. I smiled under my mask as all of them hear and sing for battle. this reminded me during one of the speeches of a human in the past who had the Emperor of their era at their throat raise storm the Royal Palace giving a grates speed that even I was motivated to join them in a fight even though I would be killed by the bloody Veil for interfering with human Affairs since that would put all of vampire kind in danger. tho this woman speech was nowhere near the level of emotion that was put into that human speech.
