Ryan Caldwell's social circle consisted of all three races, but all of them were well-off, powerful creatures who lived in lavish mansions that could easily house five families within.
When Ryan stepped into Aiden's house for the first time, the first thing that came across his mind was that it was unbelievably small. The entire house was most likely the size of his entire bedroom.
Fascinated by a normal human being's living situation, the vampire could not help but look around. There were a lot of things cramped together into the small home.
Things such as framed photographs. Or Aiden's childish paintings on the walls.
Or the old furniture that had not been replaced since almost thirty years ago.
And yet, it felt warm inside. It was a home, and it carried the scents of the people who lived within.
Aiden who was dropped onto the nearest couch had to remind Ryan that he was not alone in that house.
