The Taste Of Blood
The following morning, Aiden was startled awake when the butler drew the curtains aside and warm morning sunlight poured into the bedroom. Aiden was lying on his stomach, and he felt very weak. His whole body was too heavy. He could not even lift a single finger.
"Good morning, Mr. Thompson. How are you feeling?" the butler asked in a very friendly manner.
Aiden breathed heavily into the pillow.
His whole body felt somewhat sore and sluggish.
"Thirsty…" he mumbled after a while.
"Your water shall come right away, Sir."
The butler poured him some water into a clear crystal glass and placed it on top of the bedside table.
He then helped Aiden up to drink from the glass. Aiden pulled a grimace when a sharp pain shot at his backside. Interestingly, it was less painful than the day before. Aiden's hand moved to his butt and felt something strapped onto his tailbone area.
"... What is this?"
